We built this to survive customer segmentation. Accidentally made it… actually good? 👀

Hey PH community 👋

While building JetMetrics (our analytics brain for Shopify brands), we got tangled in one of the messiest parts of ecom/data/marketing life:

“How the hell do you segment your customers in a way that makes sense — and doesn’t make you want to cry?”

The internet gave us too much theory, not enough actually useful stuff. So we rolled up our sleeves and made a cheat sheet.

Started out ugly. Sticky notes, scattered Miro boards, questionable color schemes.

But then we kept going…

🧠 5 weeks of research

📚 4+ feedback rounds

💬 Lots of “wait… this is kinda working?”

Eventually, it turned into something that actually helps. So we figured — hey, why not share it?

What’s inside the cheat sheet:

• 100+ use cases (DTC, SaaS, B2B, your uncle’s side hustle)

• Cohorts, RFM, fancy-ish models

• When segmentation is magic ✨… and when it’s totally useless

• Metrics to watch, traps to avoid

• A sprinkle of ethics and privacy (because we’re good people)

• All wrapped up in a clickable, pretty Miro board

👉 Grab it here (totally free, no weird popups):

We’re curious:

What’s your go-to move when you need to slice up a customer base?

Got any mental models or frameworks that just click?

Tried the board? Roast it. Or improve it. We’re game.

Let’s nerd out a little — and make segmentation suck less for all of us 💥
