Some ideas take off, others don’t but the domain bill never stops

Over the years I’ve been building pain-point driven startups. A few became real products, others didn’t and that’s part of the game.

What’s been frustrating is how much time and money each new idea took just to get to the “is anyone even interested?” stage.

Buying a domain, setting up a waitlist, adding analytics, email… then sometimes, after weeks of setup, it’s crickets.

A few months back I ran a “how many domains do you own?” survey on Twitter and Reddit. Some of the answers were wild. Founders with 50 or even 100 domains sitting there unused. No exaggeration.

That led me to create validatemy.app. It is a way to spin up a premium waitlist on a free subdomain, track signups, and validate interest before investing months or hundreds of dollars.

I would love to hear from you. How do you validate your ideas before going all-in? Do you use waitlists, surveys, MVPs, or something else?
