PeekNote – A minimal always-on-top notes app for macOS
👋 Hey Product Hunt!
I’m excited to share PeekNote — a tiny, always-on-top note app for macOS designed for developers, creators, and anyone who works with text or code snippets.
Like many of you, I often found myself juggling code, docs, ideas, and random text across too many apps and tabs. I wanted a small tool that could stay visible, organize quick notes, and help me copy/paste things without disrupting my flow.
So I built PeekNote — a distraction-free, focused utility that stays right where you need it.
✨ What PeekNote does:
📌 Always on top — your notes are always visible
📂 Multiple tabs — organize text snippets by topic (API, UI, formulas, etc.)
📝 Resizable editor — stretch it as you like for longer notes
📋 Clipboard support — paste directly from your browser or IDE
💾 Local storage — no cloud, no accounts, just privacy
🧠 Why it’s useful:
PeekNote isn’t trying to replace Notion or full-blown editors.
It’s more like a focused companion — the place where you drop the stuff you’ll need 5 minutes from now.
Perfect for:
Copy-pasting code or command-line snippets
Saving quick formulas or ideas
Staying in the zone while multitasking
I’d love to hear your thoughts, feature ideas, or how you’d use PeekNote in your workflow!
