Built CineShuffle: Mood-based movie recs for when you're tired of scrolling 🎬

Hey VibeCoding fam 👋

About 2 months ago, I hit one of those moments — opened Netflix, scrolled for 30 minutes... and still ended up rewatching Friends 🤦‍♂️

That's when the idea for CineShuffle clicked.

Instead of endlessly scrolling, what if:

• You just clicked once

• Picked your mood

• Got a movie or show that fits your vibe instantly?

We kept it simple:

• Swipe Mode (Tinder for movies 🎲)

• Mood Quiz to generate vibe-based recommendations

• CineBot AI to chat for instant suggestions

• Dashboard to track moods, shuffles, and likes

• TV Tracker to follow shows you're into

We launched it today on @Product Hunt 🚀

Things we learned:

• Building for emotional decision fatigue is different than building just "search tools"

• Mood-first UX >>> Search-first UX (especially for Gen Z)

• Tiny dopamine hits (like Shuffle glow buttons and swipe cards) matter so much for retention
