Built 7 Apify actors and launched GTM Alpha - but most startups are using 2019 marketing playbooks

Hey vibecoding community! 🚀

My vibecoding stack: I've been deep in the Apify + Railway + Claude ecosystem. Built 7 Apify actors already, and honestly, this combination is incredible for scraping and automation. The Railway MCP integration with Claude works perfectly for deployment.

But here's the disconnect I'm seeing: We can vibe code amazing products in days, but most Marketing teams/ CMOs/ founders spend months executing GTM strategies designed for predictable markets that no longer exist.

What sparked this insight: Just finished auditing 35+ startup GTM strategies and found 60% are burning money on outdated tactics while their products are built with cutting-edge approaches.

The irony is real:

Most marketers use Lovable/ Bolt/ Claude/ GPT/ Gemini/ Replit/ Cursor to build interesting apps in weekend.

Then on Monday they go back to follow GTM advice from 2019 that takes months and burns money!

What I discovered in my audits:
📉 Most startups don't use any vibe coding to make interesting discovery

📉 They rely on outdated battlecards, excel sheets, ROI sheet instead of automated things

📉 Sales cycles 2x longer due to misaligned approaches and old demo and discovery practices

The successful 28% were doing something completely different:

✅ Building vibe apps to showcase their thoughts and POCs

✅ Product-led growth with frictionless experiences

✅ Apify community-first to build the data triggers and unconventional ways to collect account information

✅ Enriched data using Clay/ Bitscale for hyper personalised outreach

My take: If you're using Railway for instant deployments of Lovable/ Bolt and Claude MCP for seamless prompting, your GTM and RevOps should be just as modern and frictionless. Built GTM Alpha using this stack to help founders audit their current approach and build what actually works in 2025.

Questions for fellow vibecoders:

Anyone else frustrated by how slow traditional marketing advice feels compared to our build speed?

Successfully implemented product-led growth for your vibecoded products?

What's your biggest challenge getting users for tools you've built?

BTW: For fellow Apify users, I've documented my approach at https://apify.com/shashghosh - would love to connect with others building in this ecosystem! 💪

Launching soon!
Super insightful thread and I agree with a lot of it 🫡 Apify-Claude-Railway is a killer stack for building fast. GTM pipelines shouldn’t feel like waterfall-era decks 💯 But here’s an addition I’d love to layer on top: shipping isn’t the same as signaling. You can launch a tool in 24 hours. But trust, perception, and adoption curves still operate on human timescales. That’s where traditional GTM still holds some ground — not because it’s sacred, but because it shapes narrative gradients, not just APIs. What I’ve found helpful is thinking of GTM in two layers: 1. Code-level GTM — triggers, scrapers, personalized flows (you nailed this). 2. Cognitive GTM — moments, rituals, texture, perceived intent. If layer 1 is speed, layer 2 is stickiness. Fast value -> remembered value. So yeah, let’s automate GTM but let’s also design the moment it lands in someone’s head. Would love to jam more on this if you’re open. Your Apify approach is 🔥.

@skovalev I love the cognitive GTM idea, that is where the rest of my EPIC framework comes into picture. Audit is just one small part of it. Thanks for the feedback on Apify!
