Rise helps you schedule, optimize and protect your day to give you more time for what’s important. It’s a beautiful calendar that uses hundreds of signals to find the best times to meet, resolve conflicts and blocks off focus time. You are in charge.
Hello Product Hunt!
We’re excited to finally be able to share Rise with all of you today. Rise is a smart calendar that helps you schedule and automatically optimizes your day. We’ve been working on this for the past 2,5 years, and we hope you want to take it for a spin for a fresh approach to tackling your busy schedule.
And the numbers don’t lie that we need help when it comes to how we spend our time: we’re overwhelmed, distracted and we have a hard time making time for things that really matter. One billion knowledge workers (that probably includes you!) are able to spend just 39% per week on their *real work*. No wonder we all feel like we’re in survival mode.
We believe that remarkable works happens when you are able to bring the best version of yourself. And the way we divide our time matters a lot. It can be the difference between always running behind or having the piece of mind to do amazing stuff. So if you ever felt overloaded, or felt you’d love to get even more out of your week, Rise is for you.
Our focus and unique approach is a combination of a smart scheduling engine and a beautifully rich calendar app. We believe this is the path to make a powerful tool accessible to everyone, and not just people like you – the savvy product experts.
We actually have seen this team impact happening. Here's Johan, Co-founder at Brainstud, who has been using Rise with his entire crew:
"With Rise our schedules just flow better, I no longer have to think about double bookings and finding time with both the team and external customers has become super simple. And the team is having more focus time in their calendars, without having to think about it at all!”

- FocusGuard: block off time automatically as your schedule fills up to protect your focus time
- Multiple accounts: connect as many Google accounts as you’re managing to have a unified overview of your schedule

Before our main review lands, here's our deep dive into Rise to see if it is right for you:
Good work from the team @emieljanson, @rickpastoor etc. ✅
I‘m using Rise since half a year and it really helped me focus. I love their feature most that creates blockers in my calendar automatically when I‘m getting too many calls. Looking forward to switch soon from cal.com to their scheduling page that‘s built to help me focus better
@mschiefelbein Rise definitely works best with a whole team, but it's not mandatory and we have tons of features that work perfectly for individuals. For example, we are considering the calendars of your team members when scheduling, and you're able to see what your colleagues are up to. But, when you use Rise with your whole team and use our flexible feature, we are able to move meetings from multiple organizers which leads to more conflicts resolved an focus time gain.
@willem_spruijt Makes sense. It really seems perfect for a team that works closely together, has a bunch of recurring meetings with various attendees, team members with different roles and needs in terms of focus time or important external meetings.
What makes Rise better than Google Calendar? Also, how does this app outweigh me spending time to put everything into my calendar?
love to hear your thoughts, good luck!
@andriyuh Hey Andrija! Besides the fact that Rise is a beautiful calendar ;-), we have a bunch of features that don't come of out the box with Google Calendar. Examples of this are automatic conflict resolution and optimization of schedules.
The main intent of this product is to facilitate efficient planning. To suggest feasible schedules, the app needs to encompass all my appointments, meetings, and calendar events. Its current restriction of only integrating with Google (gsuite), and not with O365 or other providers, means it's not offering accurate planning recommendations due to the absence of details from my other calendars. I'm keenly awaiting O365/Outlook integration for it to function effectively.
I've been using Rise for the past 12 months... it's such a joy to use in all ways - UX, working within a team, focus blocking... stunning calendar, huge fan!! Keep up the great work team Rise!
Good like guys! Reinventing the calendar is not easy :)
Everyone is using Google Calendar as it's already integrated into your account and Gmail. Could I integrate yours the same way?
Early Rise user here. I’ve probably tried 50+ different calendar applications, and Rise is one of the best I’ve used. Great job team, and congrats on the launch!
@niklausgerber Outlook and iCloud are definitely on our radar, but for now we focused on getting the scheduling features in a really solid state first.
