Qrono is the fastest way to build a rental company. We handle the full-stack for booking and scheduling: no-code embeds, frontend components, and developer-friendly APIs.
@rrhoover So far, we're seeing a lot of people use it to maximize the usage of spaces, especially non-traditional spaces that wouldn't work on existing platforms like AirBNB. (so think: phone booths, kitchens, couches, spare bedrooms, conference rooms, recording studio, hot desk...)
Spaces are great assets to manage, because security is easy -- you can't steal a room or a building. And we don't put you into a marketplace, so people are using us for internal solutions, or for smaller communities. (For instance, one startup is using us as a "private AirBNB" for employees to stay in cheap corporate housing when visiting the HQ)
One of the easiest things you can do with our platform is basically build a "calendly for your spare bedrooms and couches". Priya and I use it for this right now, and it's been convenient to send to friends, instead of trying to negotiate travel dates with them over text.
@drewface very cool. I like the concept of "unlocking" more spaces through software like this.
Someday I hope to own my own small coworking space. Qrono would be useful then. :)
Hi Product Hunt,
Priya and I are two engineers building the booking platform we wish we had at our previous companies. We’re launching Qrono in open beta to get as much feedback as possible on our first attempt :)
Qrono is the easiest way to build a rental or sharing economy company. Basically, we’re a SaaS platform that handles all things booking-and-scheduling related, so developers don’t have to waste time debugging datetime, recurrence, and calendar libraries.
💡 How it started
These days, it’s easy to take a good developer experience for granted, but we were surprised by the poor experience and buggy APIs of existing off-the-shelf booking platforms. It seemed like they were built for old school business, not a new generation of software-first rental companies.
The goal was simple: make it stupid simple for developers, indie hackers, and early-stage startups to build rental and sharing economy companies.
You should be able to ship something useful in 15 minutes, but also have the flexible tooling needed to scale to millions of bookings when you reach product-market fit.
🚢 How it works
Honestly, it’s easiest to just see for yourself:
Try [creating a rental page for your spare couch](https://docs.qrono.dev/docs/crea...), it’ll take <5 minutes, and at the end you’ll have something convenient to send your friends, on us.
❓ How you can help
Our platform is rough around the edges, so you can help us most by providing feedback!
If you’re interested in following our progress, you can track large platform improvements at [our public roadmap](https://github.com/orgs/Qrono-La...).
Thank you, genuinely. I hope you are able to build something fun and useful using Qrono!

We're a team of 13 and we only have 1 meeting room at our office. With Qrono we've been able to build a booking system for the room in like 30 minutes or so. That's awesome!
@pavelgvay wow, that's so good to hear!
I know our default hourly timerange picker is a bit odd at the moment.
We're rolling out some new options soon, let me know if you have any feedback!
Super cool! Can totally see a world where barber shops and restaurants nationwide use qrono for all their booking needs. Like being able to embed bookings in anything ???? Absolutely genius!
@iotambat Thank you! Yea, I'm really excited about the niche verticals Qrono can enable, like building booking systems for Barber Shops.
Reminds me a bit of checkhq (https://www.checkhq.com/)
@jimmyeatcarbs So few of the objects in the world around us have easily parseable calendars, and so many of them collect dust most of the time. What a waste!
The most mind-bending vision in 5 years is that we manage the time of billions of assets, and by doing so, we can reduce waste across all of them. Imagine if you could just point your phone at an object and pull up its calendar (this is already technically easy with QR codes)? If this became normal? We can automatically offer to put your asset in a marketplace if you don't want to keep it private. We can automatically suggest your asset to others, who seem to be searching for something similar in your area. We can write algorithms that optimize schedules to maximize the amount of useful time, and reduce waste. We can advertise for you, sell for you, and even request extra inventory from you when we think it would be profitable... We could decentralize entire markets!
I'm excited to see how much more time we can get out of the things we build, when we are able to share with trivial ease.
Sorely needed solution for engineering teams who don’t want to build or manage the complexity of a booking system themselves. So happy to see this launch!
I’ve been a developer on Qrono for the last few months.
It’s cut in half the time it’s taken me to ship my booking platform.
Andrew and Priya have been incredibly responsive and helpful when I’ve needed guidance and have quickly shipped new features as needs have arisen.
The API is super functional and well documented
If your application requires booking functionality, trust me, just use Qrono.
Hit me up with any questions

Love this idea! The world (both online and offline) is getting cluttered with "free" low-quality and weaponized time-spent (on facebook, tiktok, etc). Building infrastructure that helps the flourishing of businesses that do paid, high-quality time, with services/products is the way to go!
Having seen what the founders built before, I know they can build great software.
They’ve also been very responsive as I’ve been using it so far. Excited to see the future of this!
Love tools like these. Great idea, and such an easy implementation for rental company founders. Congrats on the launch, can't wait to see people start using this as a tool.
@connorjewiss Thanks Connor! We don't think it's easy enough yet, haha. We're still think we can cut the time it takes to build a rental product by another factor of 5 or 10, at least, and that's what we're aimed at.
@0xgimple haha, I didn't even realize. This was just what our designer came up with. It's meant to resemble the lines of a monthly calendar scheduling app. Maybe there should be a software that does some sort of image recognition on popular logos :)
