Hello Producthuntđź‘‹ I'm Andrew, maker of PropelAuth and I'm really excited to share it with you all! PropelAuth started out of a chess side project I was working on. As with a lot of side projects, I spent most of my time on all the fun parts and neglected important things like.. well.. logging users in and everything around it. When it came time to implement auth, the experience I wanted was for as much of it to be taken care of for me as possible. I wanted all the UIs built for me, profile pages so my users can update their accounts, emails to be taken care of, and modern options like passwordless logins to make it easy to convert visitors into users. I basically just wanted an interface on the frontend that just said "this person is logged in, here's their user information" and to not worry about anything else. PropelAuth provides that. After signing up, you have a full test environment hosted by us to play around with that's exactly what your end users will see. You can customize so it will feel like part of your application, and when you go to production it will be hosted on your domain. We also have frontend and backend libraries to make it easy to integrate with. We've seen that building products for B2B customers has even more challenging auth concerns, so we have first-class support for that as well. If you enable B2B support, your UIs all update so your users can create organizations, invite their coworkers, and manage permissions - and all these are concepts in our libraries as well. @voxmatt Thanks! One of the biggest unique features is our b2b support. Your end users can send invites to their coworkers natively and there is a user portal for them to manage permissions within their organization. Our libraries provide simple functions like "make sure this user is at least an admin in this organization" so you can build a full B2B product without a lot of code. Most of the time, implementing b2b support is left up to you to do. We have also talked with a lot of users and while some other auth products say it takes minutes to get set up, usually it's longer. By fully hosting the page and letting people configure everything down to their emails with a simple UI - you actually have a working testable auth experience the second you sign up. We've written a number of guides (https://www.propelauth.com/blog-...) which walk you through everything, step by step. We've had users get fully set up in under 10 minutes. The other advantage of separate auth pages is we can support basically any frontend and you can quickly migrate between them. We've written a guide on adding authentication to webflow, for example. You can pretty easily start there for your landing page, and keep your users and a consistent login experience if you migrate to any other frontend. On top of all that, we provide you with internal tools for viewing your users, seeing an audit log of what they do, blocking malicious users, etc. One of the nicest points of feedback we've gotten so far was someone who said they felt existing auth solutions were really heavy and that we were a lighter weight alternative.
