Which Product Hunt launches were the most memorable for you?

And now I don't mean yours, but someone else's launches. :)

Which ones caught your attention the most, and can you specify why?

It could be a really useful product, clever copywriting, an interestingly crafted intro video, or a very good (GIF) logo.

  • @Dory – an app switcher for people who can’t remember shortcuts. @segev used colours of the Fish Dory from the movie Finding Nemo. Kind of nostalgia for me but the vision of the app and alignment with movie character ringed the bell.

  • @Tidyread & @SurfPal – these sparked my attention especially for the use-case, tried them immediatelly and have been using them both almost year.

  • And then, I cannot remember the name of the product, but I remember they had such weird video that looked intergalactic and acresses had some crazy costumes like from Mars. :DDD It was cringe but I loved it. If someone remembers that launch, please, ping me! :D

Notion AI's launch blew me away—perfect demo, crystal copy, instant aha. Gamma deck-to-site magic felt telepathic. Midjourney’s GIF logo hypnotized me at 3 a.m.; I still hear the synthwave drop. Each felt like future handing me cheat codes, wrapped in nostalgia and dopamine confetti.

@new_user___1762025328e010d2ac6aaba Are you also panning to launch here? :)

Philippe Bernard
The ones I especially remember, expect mine when my own product was launched my someone else, are @tony_dinh2 . He's an absolute legend in the indie scene and can beat large corps here on ProductHunt.
Nika

@tony_dinh2  @ph_bernard Tony is popular in general. I think that any post or launch he publishes, will become quite noticeable :)

Charu Chaturvedi

Really liked @Clueso's launch through and through. The visuals and communication we so clean and intriguing

Nika

@charuchaturvedi That pink colour is definitely something eye-hitting :D

@charuchaturvedi  @busmark_w_nika So glad to hear that! <3

Nika

@charuchaturvedi  @ashutosh_raj Chose a good branding colour :)

Ashutosh Raj

@charuchaturvedi  @busmark_w_nika haha thanks! Will relay this to the team :)

@Fluently: AI English coach because the the website, demo, creatives etc were spot on.

There was another product with a funny skit for a product video. A person was playing the role of a keyboard and it was hilarious but sadly, I don't recall the name.

Nika

@aishwaryalohi The first sentence made me read further "Imagine a human-like English coach, available 24/7 and 15x cheaper" :D They know how to attract. :D

@busmark_w_nika totally!

Launching soon!
I still remember my first launch few years ago. It was painfully bad. We just jostled to product hunt in the last minute and thought people would just love the product.
Nika

@nithya_kumaran What did you launch? And what are the learnings then? :)

Launching soon!
@busmark_w_nika it was a vibe coding application couple of years ago. Gpt3 had just launched. I was so focused on building that I did not spend time on getting the word out https://youtu.be/xlmzwygVwtQ?si=... I made 9 min video explaining the concept.
Segev

Thanks for mentioning @Dory, @busmark_w_nika!

Nika

@segev You did a memorable product/launch! :)

Launching soon!

Great question! I recently dropped some of my favorite, most inspiring dev-first product launches in this thread.

Above all, I really enjoyed how @Appwrite nailed it: great tagline, stunning visuals, and execution — the ideal Product Hunt launch? Read the teardown here in /p/appwrite →

Nika

@fmerian Appwrite has a catchy claim. When it comes to Jolt AI, I think they have a good, memorable logo. :)

Mcval Osborne

I loved @Lovable 's visual editor release about 5 mo ago, i thought that really ignited interest among non-technical builders starting to get into vibe coding. @antonosika keeps killing it.

Nika

@antonosika  @mcval_osborne Was it a tool itself that sparked your attention, or the way they marked it on this platform?
