Why we built a custom "central path" algorithm (and why it matters)

Wanted to share something we discovered during testing that completely changed our approach.
Traditional golf apps assume everyone plays like a scratch golfer. The "ideal line" is always straight down the fairway - which works great if you're Tiger Woods, but not so much for the rest of us.
During our on-course testing, we kept seeing players get advice that made zero sense for their actual game. A 20-handicapper being told to aim at a pin tucked behind a bunker? That's not strategy, that's wishful thinking.
So we built what we call a "custom central path" - an algorithm that creates a personalized ideal route based on your actual distances, shot patterns, and tendencies. Instead of the theoretical best path, it calculates what's actually optimal for YOU.
It wasn't in our original roadmap, but sometimes the best features come from real-world testing. Early results are promising - players are making smarter decisions and seeing better scores.
Still refining it, but excited about where this is heading. Sometimes the breakthrough comes from admitting that one-size-fits-all doesn't work in golf.
