We’re building a world where every person belongs.
A next-gen social platform intentionally designed to connect people more deeply to community and each other. Let’s reinvent the social fabric that shapes our lives, centered on participation, passion & play.
Linda here (also known as Jia Ling!).
Thanks for celebrating our launch with us! 🎉🎉
As events take on new forms online, we found it hard to keep track of where and when they’re being posted. We’d see flyers two days late, get confused about how to join, or make a mental note but forget to show up.
With so many cool communities hosting events we'd love to go to, we wanted to make discovering and attending these experiences easy. That’s why we built Playground. You can think of us as the Spotify of Events.
While reimagining how people think about events, we made registration as easy as liking a post on Instagram. As you use the site, you build a playlist of events that you can share and join with friends
Unlike "social" media that can be divisive and polarizing, Playground's mission is to help people break out of the algorithmic bubble — to discover something new! And foster human connection through shared experiences.
Hope you have fun exploring, and would love to hear your thoughts below.

P.S. We’re currently fundraising! If you or a friend want to participate, say hello@playgroundapp.com. 💸
The world is a playground and sometimes you need the right plays. The Playground has and will have lists of those plays all put together by a super fun and slick curation team. Building this v1 has been an awesome experience. To figure out what's beyond curation/aggregation is an ongoing exercise, we would love to hear from other makers and users what features Playground can have.
@giovanni_vocale Thanks Giovanni. We're actually really interested in building a
Playground Underground - would love to chat more about the communities you're in and see what tools they'd be excited about. -L
@kim_bode Thank you! We love our newsletter too and are constantly sharing event playlists of interesting people. We're growing our curator network in LA so expect to see some more faces from your city soon!
Love the UI. The information is easily accessible and efficiently presented. A welcome respite from internet content that overwhelms. Bravo Playground.
Beautiful concept, masterful execution. In an age where eyeballs are typically seen as dollar signs, Playground has figured out a way to navigate through the muck and connect people with experiences that nourish their curiosity.
Been following this for a while, great newsletter and event info, webapp looks fantastic. Amazing effort working through the pandemic too, not many groups can or have survived that. Well done - very promising!
Great concept and slick app! Given the boom in virtual events over the past year, it's been hard to keep track of what's going on. The curation aspect of this app is the cherry on top. Excited to see where this goes - I think it'll be huge!
