But either we think that there is anyone dealing with leveraging competition nature of humans to push exercise motivation in the market. From the standpoint of start-up people who are hungry for success and better ourself everyday, we hope that this can help us to be both productive and healthy.

After that launch, we received really constructive feedback and good comments from the community. We took it all on board, and have come back with a new and improved design. @truonglong88 Hey, no, you don't have to. But we recommend using earphone (maybe bluetooth one) for better communicating with other racers. Happy that you're interested in Velo!

It will be a great way to stay fit in the winter when its too cold/icy to go for big bike rides.

Pros:

Combines my two loves - gaming and cycling!

Cons:

Nothing glaring i can see yet!

@kev9203 hey thanks for being interested in Velo. Basically if you love healthy competition, the Competitor and the Champion are made for you. Select the Champion if you don't want to deal with the hassle of downloading the app. If you're fine with your own tablet (or phone), Competitor is good to go. Check the table below to see the differences among three models.

This product is perfect for who can't find the time or motivation to go the gym, or don't really know where to start to get fit. I don't think i'd buy one, but it will be great for my wife who's a stay at home mom.

At first I just think its advantage is very good price but when I read some comments I realized it is more than that. Actually it would be the greatest idea people who still want circle with friends in the Winter. Workout with friends would be more enjoyable and it’s more than the gym equipment or a video game. Such a great product. Like

Does the lowest model offer any type of tracking? For instance, mileage, speed, etc.?

@aaron_luther Hey, the lowest model doesn't come with any type of tracking because it doesn't include cadence and sensor. If you value exercise stat, I would advise you to go with Competitor model. It supports all of our function, except that you will use your own phone or tablet.

@alexgrundy Hi Alex, thanks so much for your interest in Velo Bike. Unfortunately we haven't figured out way to reduce international shipping cost as the product is quite heavy. We are planning to launch our presence in Australia in the mid of this year though. Sure that we can deliver Velo by then with more reasonable shipping!

I'd love to know more about the screen / app. Is it limited to the Velo app only? Can other apps be used or installed?

As a Pelton user (likely not your target audience) I appreciate the price point but two things are not clear to me: (1) What's the screen experience like (2) is there a monthly fee?

@anh_nguyen95 Yup, Velo app is available both on Google Play and Appstore. Subscription is $9 per month. If you are among Indiegogo's early backers, fee will be waived for 3 months ;)
