I have serious concerns about this product. On the surface, it looks like a great idea. But after looking at one or two of the example sites, I see a glaring issue. Newsy copies the ENTIRE ARTICLE. It is basically lifting the entire post and putting it on your domain. It that doesn't scream copyright infringement and make me run away like lighting I don't know what does. At best, you should be doing some kind of Google Pegasus to pull out some highlights. But currently you're pulling the entire article! Not good.

Which links to a full article https://venturebeat.com/2021/04/... We display what's found in the RSS feeds (or the contents returned by the API). If for whatever reason there are full article, then it's the source of the article we'll have to look into (and we have seen some RSS feeds that return everything).

Sorry to ask again, but I can see how to sell the domain via your system, but I'm not clear how to transfer the Newsy contents, too. It's a terrific system and I'm looking to buy the 100 sites plan initially.

@alun_hill1 Yes. You can essentially think of your domain name and Newsy site separately. They just happened to be connected together. So let's say you sell your "site", which includes the domain name. Then you will transfer your domain name to the buyer and then transfer your Newsy account to another person. If you want to transfer just a single Newsy site to another person, we can easily organize that for you.

hey guys - it's Eric from Newsy here. Was planning to post Newsy on PH myself soon, but... oh well. Thanks for hunting it. We created Newsy ~ 12 months ago. I had 50 un-used domain names and they were not doing anything. I didn't want to park them because they all looked ugly. So I created Newsy to automatically generate content curation sites. Along the way, we've added a ton of features including membership, post submission, comments, automated newsletters, HTTPS, receiving & sending email using your own domain etc etc.. AND monetization. You can bring your own ads to also monetize your domains - we've found it to be.. a much more effective way of making a good use of your domain name than ANY other methods available. Now all of my 50 domains are on Newsy. Would love for you guys to try it out!

@slegarraga Hi! Yes there is! We have a "translation" section where you can change all labels that are displayed on the site. And of course you can crawl for Spanish contents by selecting it as a language!

@slegarraga Google Ads are quite strict in their policy, so our recommendation is to hold off on it until you grow the traffic to a certain level. There are a plenty of other ad platforms you can use and we also allow direct advertising you can add (e.g. add your own affiliate links and codes)

@newsyco Great idea and looks nicely executed. Will test it over the weekend. Concerning the contents: 1) is there any SEO value in the aggregated content? Will these pages rank? 2) What about copyright? Are there any concernces?

@t_z Hi there! Great questions! The aggregated contents definitely rank! Newsy integrates with Google Webmaster and we provide sitemaps so you can see for yourself on how your contents perform over time. For copyrights, we process RSS feeds that are publicly available and also contents we retrieve via API. So we don't crawl any other information other than what is made available.

I'm sorry but isn't this just a new take on an autoblog? I guess it's better than a standard parked domain page but autoblogs aren't likely to gain high SEO value or make significant ad sales through automation alone.

We make it clear from upfront that content aggregation itself (initially) is not going to rank you above the original contents. But we provide various features to turn your domain into a fully functioning web application, which is automated as much as possible, thereby enabling you to add all your un-used domains without having to spend so much time on it. We also do allow you to post your own contents via API and as well as through the site. So overall, those features should empower your un-used domain much more than an un-used domain just sitting there idle. Newsy is a breath of fresh air. Just like Eric, the maker of this tool. I have a lot of unused domains. Now I have the ability to create a quick forum around a niche or topic, to start building an audience along with the reputation for my domain. After this, when momentum is at its highest point: Releasing a full website will be super easy. You already have an audience, you have already made an income, and you're just ready to expand your business and making it a whole. I just love this idea, and I see Newsy transforming into a relevant tool for SEOs around the world. I mean, I'll start developing my own blueprint on creating websites with this tool. ?makers I'd like to ask if you have plans to integrate with Stripe or member platforms like MemberSpace or MemberStack? What is the best way of kickstarting an un-used domain as a full-fledged web application that provides value to both the maker and the user? The traditional way of domain parking, we found, is.. just.. so.. outdated! Typically many of our users have purchased domains in the past, hoping "I'll make this into something one day". But many times, you just keep buying more and you have less time to work on things. Newsy provides a great starting point. Grab relevant contents, put them out there and grow organic traffic, members and subscribers. If you are ready to develop your site further, those people would be the very first set of users you can reach out to. Here's an example https://www.valueinvestingnews.com/ This site has been on Newsy for about 6 months. It now receives about 1k views per day. It has ~800 members and ~500 newsletter subscribers. The site has been completely automated. It's just been growing consistently through Newsy's organic traffic generation. We've built a number of features to help with SEO, traffic generation and filtering on contents to provide higher quality site. Hope it helps you guys too!
