Thank you for sharing, everyone. For now I'm gathering as much input as I can. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.

Launching soon!
@programmerbird nice app! So, you're basically selling themes to pay for the app?
Raul Perțe
@programmerbird I really dig the design at this stage. Congrats.
Tiffany Zhong
@programmerbird Love this just from looking at the website! Time to test it out :)
Sittipon Simasanti
@chrismessina That's the plan. I think my app might be useful for many people and by making it this way, I could share it with a wider audience.
Sittipon Simasanti
@tzhongg Have fun! @perteraul Thank you!
Tiffany Zhong
Btw, typo on Mac app splash screen. "iCloud keep your notes...."
Sittipon Simasanti
@tzhongg English is not my first language. May be "iCloud keeps your notes"?
Tiffany Zhong
@programmerbird Yup! :) Also, any plans to let people sync their notes to Dropbox rather than iCloud? That'd seal my switch from Compositions to Letterspace!
Sittipon Simasanti
@tzhongg Nope, I don't think Letterspace will have Dropbox in the near future. I think Dropbox users tended to like a lot of things different from how Letterspace currently is. Like how the file naming, folders, keyboard buttons. I do think the best approach for this is to create another app that really focus on those use cases. So, I'm keeping Dropbox for my next geekier project.
Viral Jogani
@tzhongg @programmerbird To convince you further, many users probably have used up their iCloud storage space (like me!) and would rather use Dropbox or Drive to store notes.
Adrian Phillips
@tzhongg @programmerbird @virjog Not to put the pressure on but Drop Box sync would be great. Perhaps as an IAP to make it worth your while? ;)

Whoa. My first ever posted hunted app turns out to be an instant fave here at Product Hunt! Nice! I'm always on the lookout for new note taking apps and though I'm a big fan of Simplenote the very goodlookin', very smooth and well executed Letterspace won me over in just a few of minutes. Thanks for creating it Sittipon!
Sittipon Simasanti
@t55 This is kind of a surprise to me too. I never have so many people response in just a single day like this before. Thank you so much!
Adam Kazwell
@t55 would love to see a collection of other note taking apps that you enjoy - thanks for hunting this one - and thanks for building it @programmerbird

Hunter
@programmerbird You're welcome. Glad I could post it on Product Hunt. Keep the good stuff coming! Love what you did so far. Hope you keep it simple :)

@kaz Thanks for asking. Not entirely sure what other note takers can found on Product Hunt, but it sure will be fun to make a collection of the apps that are featured here.
Adrian Phillips
@kaz @t55 Drafts 4 is a great iOS note taking app with the ability to program actions that I'd absolutely throw in any note-taking collection http://www.producthunt.com/posts...

Cool app. Used Workflowy but Letterspace helps me organize better my thoughts, specially with the hashtags. You nailed it with the Swipe Bar, you should patent this (if it's not already by someone else) :p
Sittipon Simasanti
@johntheoak I don't like how we used patent on software nowadays. However, being a free app kind of have an advantage on this issue too. If someone would like to copy this feature, they will have to compete with me -- a very nice free app.
tom meagher
@johntheoak @programmerbird This is easily one of the best free apps I have ever used.
Thomas Griffin
@programmerbird I can tell you are just a thoughtful person. Very nice on the Swipe Bar, and your focus on just delivering value to people upfront feels very puristic and refreshing (just from reading your comments). Top notch, my friend.
Ben Basche
oh my god the swipe bar.
Sittipon Simasanti
@basche42 It's magical, right? Double tap on it also select the nearest word.
Mark Bao
I've tried virtually every single note-taking app, and I'm really excited to try this one. The nice features (todo list and Markdown) embedded into the simple text editor look great, and the UI's not bad either. The best part, though, is the on-the-fly tagging—awesome compared to the separate tagging field that Simplenote and Vesper have.
Adrian Phillips
I've been looking for a simple note taking app that is basically "Simple Note" with markdown support. You've nailed it @programmerbird.
Chris Franco
Even though my logic tells me that there's nothing more simple than the native iOS Notes app, I find myself downloading every type of app like this I can get my hands on. Looking forward to trying it out!

I like the swipe bar. It's good to see people coming up with new interactions that help deal with navigating the large screens. I'd like to see something like this that worked like a tab key on the desktop, letting you jump from important action to important action. Getting to the top right is brutal when one handing the 6 plus!
Steven Ritchie
I'll just leave a comment instead of a a review...but there seem to be huge issues with the iCloud syncing. I only made one note but it quickly became 2 and then 3 of the same note.
jonathan
wow. I love it...but why no swipe back from left edge when in note-taking mode? Accommodated in all other views, and much more convenient than swipe down on blue bar > hit "back" arrow in bottom left of UI. Anyway, sorry to nitpick. I love the app. Big time. :)
jonathan
@programmerbird Any way to export / save a file as Markdown? Not being able to do that to save work files to dropbox is killing me softly. Love everythign else.
Pete Simpson
Always love seeing new interactions to make typing on mobile easier like the swipe bar. Plus they've got markdown. Very cool. Might become my tool of choice for starting blog posts on the go.

Just downloaded. Super clean and well executed. I dig the inline hashtag feature. Makes tagging really easy. OThe sound effects are a little much for me, but this is my new go to
Sittipon Simasanti
@leylandjacob Is it a bit too loud? You can always turn it off in in-app settings if you don't like it.
Alex
I am a sucker for note taking apps.
Steve RAFFNER
Awesome app - just downloaded and instantly appreciated the minimalism and efficience of it. I particularly love the #hashtag feature.
Juan J. Ramirez
Seems very similar to Fetchnotes.
Jeremy Cai
I've been using this nonstop since morning. Beautiful, and has potential to replace Evernote as a personal writer for me. Great job team!
Darren J Smith
This might just make me make the move from Simplenote!
Marko
Oh my god swipe bar where have you been all my life! I really like all about this app! Great job @programmerbird!
