Leo - Lightweight Snapchat

Thanks for jumping in, @car1os! I'm always curious to hear the "why" behind startups. Of all the things you could be doing, why are you building Leo?

I haven't played with it yet but the ephemeral group photo-sharing aspect reminds me of Clique (http://clq.it/ - made by ex-Viddy guys). On Clique, each photo disappears forever after it's viewed. According to the TC article (http://techcrunch.com/2013/12/11...), Greylock and SV Angel invested. cc @joshelman & @abramdawson

This looks similar to http://www.blinkapp.co/ . Also checkout https://burnnote.com/, http://www.clipchat.com/, http://winktheapp.com/ and https://www.mywickr.com/en/index.... These apps are similar to Snapchat and are ephemeral messaging apps.

appreciate you asking! wanted to create the easiest way to connect with your loved ones. my family and friends are spread across the globe. since creating leo those people feel closer than they ever have before.

@car1os - I respect that. Too many people hate on apps that look like toys or distractions but reality is, they're meaningful and improve people's lives every day. My family and I are more connected thanks to MessageMe (http://ryanhoover.me/post/628249...). Not to move away from the focus of Leo but I'm curious to hear your thoughts on Snapchat 6.1. We had an interesting discussion last week about Snapchat 6.1 (http://www.producthunt.co/posts/386). Brilliant or boneheaded?

In daily life now I am searching something unique to search. But most of the apps are same with a few unique features. Let me check @Leo. I hope it will be different than entertaining apps.
