Hey Product Hunt community! 👋 I'm Pulkit, co-founder of Kandid, and I’m super excited to share what we’ve been building with you all. Why did we build Kandid? Brands spend lakhs bringing traffic, but still 90%+ visitors drop off without buying because of confusion and low to no guidance. The reason? Websites still behave like catalogs - not salespersons. We tried chatbots, but they only answered FAQs - they didn’t sell. That’s when we asked: what if your website had an AI salesperson? That’s why we built Kandid. It’s a brand-trained AI agent that lives on your site and: ✅ Understands your catalog, routines, and customer needs ✅ Chats like your best salesperson would ✅ Recommends products and bundles in real time ✅ Upsells smartly and boosts AOV ✅ Handles support queries 24x7 ✅ Tracks revenue it drives with precision Who’s Kandid for? ► D2C founders looking to lift conversions ► Growth & CX teams who want 24x7 sales help ► Brands spending big on ads but seeing low ROI Already powering 6-10% of revenue for brands like Suroskie, foxtale, frido etc. Would love your feedback, thoughts, and support 🙌

Sounds like a game-changer, Pulkit!

Turning websites into true salespeople is such a powerful shift—love how Kandid blends real-time guidance with measurable impact. Excited to see how you scale this!

Hey Product Hunt 👋

I’m Bhavya, co-founder of Kandid, and I’m super excited to finally share this with you.

Kandid was born out of a simple frustration we saw in D2C e-commerce — online shoppers today still have the same experience they did 10 years ago. They land on a site, click through a catalogue, maybe read some reviews, and if they’re lucky, they find the right product. But the human touch of an in-store salesperson, someone who can listen, guide, and recommend, is missing.

With Kandid, we wanted to bridge that gap. Our AI-powered sales assistants engage customers in real time, understand their needs, and guide them to the perfect product — all while staying true to the brand’s personality. We’ve seen brands use it to:

  • Increase conversion rates by guiding hesitant shoppers to the checkout

  • Improve AOV with intelligent upselling that feels natural, not forced

  • Reduce support load by automating repetitive queries without losing the human feel

What’s been most rewarding is watching brands light up when they see the impact - more sales, intelligent upsells, happier customers, and a shopping experience that actually feels personal again.

Would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and even crazy feature ideas. This is just the start for us, and we’re here to make online shopping as warm and effective as the best in-store experience you’ve ever had. 🚀

@bhavyaaurora very intersting product idea for ecomm companies...this use case can also be applicable to retailer apps and distributor apps for better B2B traction.

Love the 6–10% revenue claim — impressive. How does Kandid attribute sales it drives: session-level tracking, last-touch, or via UTM/order matching? Can it push events to GA4/Segment/your analytics and produce A/B-testable reports for uplift? Curious about accuracy of revenue attribution. 🤔

Bhavya Arora

@jaredl Thanks for the great question! 🙌

We attribute sales using session-level tracking with last-touch attribution. Each conversation session is linked to the user’s journey, so if a purchase happens in that same session, it’s tied back to Kandid.

For accuracy, we also support conversation ID matching via platform integrations (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.) to verify engagement against actual transactions. This helps us cross-check and avoid over-attribution.

On the analytics side:

  • We are in the process of building integrations with GA4, Segment, or other analytics tools so brands can measure Kandid’s performance in their existing dashboards.

  • We provide A/B-testable uplift reports, letting brands compare revenue and conversion metrics with/without Kandid live, so the impact is statistically verifiable.

  • And not just this, we provide customer insights and intelligence also from millions of conversations that goes beyond basic keyword analysis

The goal is transparency, so brands know exactly how much revenue Kandid is driving, not just estimated influence.

Congrats on the launch, this looks great! One small thing, it would be great to have a streamed response instead of waiting for the chat response to load completely.

Bhavya Arora

@julien_rioux That's a great suggestion Julien! Will surely pass on to the dev team

Tim Guruge

Amazing product! Definitely going to use this for my kids’ product store. The demo absolutely blew me away!

Bhavya Arora

@thilina_guruge Thanks Tim! Would love to set up the best salesperson for your store that can give personalised suggestions for every kid's needs! 😀

Sales processes are always a real pain for consumer brands. Kandid promises to help with that with its AI powered solution. Definitely something that’s needs trying.

Congrats to the team behind Kandid for solving a real problem and for the launch 🚀

Bhavya Arora

@dzrmb Thanks a bunch! We want to be the sales layer between the customer and the brand when it comes to online selling!

M S Sulthan

Interesting approach to AI sales. Curious how Kandid handles data privacy, consent, and avoids misleading claims while boosting conversions.

Pulkit Garg

@mssulthan Thanks for raising this — it’s something we take seriously. 🙌

We don’t collect or store any personally identifiable information — only anonymized conversation transcripts for analysis and performance tracking. It’s always clearly disclosed that the assistant is AI-powered, and any claims made are backed by verifiable product data or proof from the brand. Our focus is on building trust while improving conversions. 🚀

This looks great. It could definitely increase sales and be useful for many industries. for instance, I imagine what it could do in the travel and tourism industry. Does it accompany the customer all the way to the checkout/payment process? or does it stop at the selling point. I ask this because I know that % of abandoned shopping carts are a things.

Bhavya Arora

@jo_rangel Thanks for the thoughtful question! 🙌

Yes, Kandid can stay with the customer all the way through to checkout. It can help select products, add them to the cart, and then guide them right up to the payment stage. If the brand enables it, Kandid can also follow up on abandoned carts by offering reminders, incentives, or answering last-minute questions that might be blocking the purchase.

The goal isn’t just to sell, it’s to see the sale through and reduce that big chunk of lost revenue from abandoned carts. In industries like travel and tourism, that could mean assisting a customer from picking destinations and packages all the way to completing the booking. 🚀

Malith Gamage

Nice one.. Congrats guys.

Bhavya Arora

@malithmcrdev Thanks a bunch!

Joey Judd

No way—an AI salesperson for ecommerce? That’s genius! My shop could seriously use help guiding buyers. Does it handle complex product questions, too? This feels like a game changer.

Bhavya Arora

@joey_zhu_seopage_ai Absolutely! It’s trained not just on your catalog and policies but also on industry knowledge and the market landscape. So if someone asks for deeper comparisons, it can handle them like a real salesperson. For example, on a skincare site it knows ingredients and routines, on an electronics shop it can compare specs, and on a nutrition brand it can explain supplement benefits – always steering the buyer back to your products.

Tim

great launch guys!!

Bhavya Arora

@timcha Thanks a lot!

Kandid brings the in-store experience online an AI sales assistant that guides, recommends, and upsells like a pro. Real-time, 24/7, across your site. Consumer brands finally get a rep that never sleeps.

Bhavya Arora

@vivek_sharma_25 Yes Vivek, that's the goal! To add a sales layer - currently it's very marketing led for D2C

Vatsal Sanghvi

Hi PH community! I’m one of the developers at Kandid, and I want to share the side of this product that’s been the most exciting for me - making something that’s both AI-powered and brand-controlled.

Most AI tools feel like black boxes - you plug them in, they do their thing, but you can’t really shape them. With Kandid, we took the opposite approach. The AI does the heavy lifting - understanding shopper intent, answering questions, and upselling intelligently but the brand decides exactly how it behaves. You can:

- Set the tone and personality so it sounds like your brand, not “just another bot”

- Define custom conversation flows for different customer types

- Enable or disable features like upselling, cross-selling, or guided product discovery

The intelligent upselling feature was my personal baby. It doesn’t just randomly suggest products, it understands context. If a customer’s buying sunscreen, it might suggest a moisturizer with matching SPF protection. If they’re picking a dress, it could offer matching accessories.

As a builder, it’s rare to create something where brands enjoy tweaking and personalizing the AI - but here, that’s been one of the most common bits of feedback. Would love to hear how you’d customize your own AI sales assistant!

Indrajit Sahani

Hey everyone 👋

I’m part of the dev team behind Kandid, and my focus has been on the tech architecture and making sure our AI feels both powerful and practical for brands to adopt. From the start, we built Kandid to be AI-enabled from the ground up - no bolt-ons, no clunky integrations.

That meant we could:-

  • Train it on a brand’s product data and FAQs in hours, not weeks.

  • Ensure it plugs into different e-commerce stacks without headaches.

  • Build in analytics that actually show which conversations lead to sales.

A few features I’m particularly proud of:

  1. Natural upselling and cross-selling that feels like a friendly suggestion, not a pushy salesperson

  2. Full autonomy for brands to customize tone, recommendations, and even journey paths.

  3. Revenue attribution so you know exactly how much the assistant is contributing to your sales The biggest challenge was balancing AI intelligence with brand safety.

We didn’t want an assistant that “goes rogue” or pushes products in ways the brand wouldn’t approve. The result is an AI assistant that’s smart, on-brand, and constantly learning, without ever taking the brand out of the driver’s seat.

Excited to see what industries beyond D2C might use Kandid in the future. If you’re building something similar or thinking about AI in sales, I’d love to swap notes!

Geet Verma

Hey everyone 👋

I’ve been actively working on Kandid’s growth since the very beginning spending a lot of my time in conversations with brands, understanding their challenges, and figuring out how we can solve them better. Over time, I’ve seen a clear pattern: even the most successful e-commerce brands, once they scale, often have conversion rates as low as 1–2%. That’s a huge gap when you’re driving thousands of visitors every day.

The reason Kandid works for our customers is because it tackles that exact gap. By engaging visitors in real time, understanding their needs, and recommending the right products, it consistently lifts conversions, average order value, and revenue.

I’ve seen this impact firsthand:

  • A skincare brand handling ~15,000 interactions a month converts 17% of those chats into sales — adding ~$50K in monthly revenue.

  • A consumer gadgets brand converts 15% of ~4,000 interactions a month — generating ~$22K in additional monthly sales.

  • Another skincare & wellness brand sees 21% conversion from its ~3,900 monthly interactions, with a 1.3x higher average order value.

Across all brands we work with, Kandid contributes 5–8% of their total website revenue and lifts AOV by 27–32% through smart upselling generating $4.8M+ in net revenue to date for our partners.

It’s been incredibly rewarding to watch customers go from struggling to convert traffic into sales to seeing a meaningful chunk of their revenue coming from these conversations. Still a lot more to build, but we’re excited about the road ahead 🚀

Sanjay Kholiya
Amazing platform, the chat answers are so natural it feels like I am talking to a real human. You must have put some huge context magic in there for it to work so flawlessly.
Bhavya Arora

@sanjaydotpro Haha yes, thanks for the feedback! A lot of it comes down to combining strong AI with a deep understanding of the context behind each brand and customer. The 'magic' you’re feeling is really the result of a lot of iteration, customer feedback, fine-tuning and making multiple AI agents work together seamlessly without breaking!
