What’s the best way to guide beginners into tech — without overwhelming them?
I'm building a free career bot that helps people explore IT professions and try short intro courses. It’s aimed at total beginners — people who want to switch careers but have no idea where to start.
The challenge: people often don’t know what to ask or what to expect. They don’t even know the difference between QA, frontend, or product manager — so even choosing a path is confusing.
If you’ve built tools for beginners — or have experience mentoring career switchers — I’d love to hear your thoughts:
What worked best to reduce the feeling of “I’m lost”?
Should we offer fewer options — or show everything at once and let them explore?
How would you help someone find the right fit in tech?
You can try the bot here, if curious — feedback is very welcome:

Thanks so much in advance!
