Scheduling something big with AI

Hey Product Hunt! I’m Dan, a non-technical founder who’s bounced around ByteDance, TikTok, and spent the last few years diving into video game development. After working on features that connect people, I’m taking on a problem that I think we can all universally agree is still a total pain - scheduling meetings.

It's even more painful for freelancers, consultants, founders and entrepeneurs as meetings are more than get-togethers, they're a source of partnerships, deals and income.

I'll share more updates and beta testing opportunities (they’re coming soon!), but for now, just wanted to say a big hello! Follow along if this sounds like your kind of thing, and I can’t wait to be part of the PH community!

Tell me more. Scheduling meetings is indeed a gnarly problem. I actually did a deep dive on this when I was working at Dropbox on new products. It's also a little bit of a graveyard. A few companies have launched email schedulers in the latest wave, but to my knowledge, none of them have reached escape velocity. Scheduling is an example of a problem that's both very complex (it's a multi-person optimization problem in time and sometimes in space) and has a very high bar (it's really bad when there's a scheduling mistake.).

Calendly solves some of the cases, but it's really awkward and relies on one party having more leverage than the other party.

What's the new insight you have?

@rajiv_ayyangar The more you dig into the problem, the more complex you find it is! Plus the social dynamics, not every meeting is equal, and often in a meeting one side is more motivated to meet than the other!

Calendly made a lot of progress, and based on all the waves trying to solve the problem, it still remains the most durable, but yes - full of awkwardness and friction. Just search "hate Calendly" on X or LinkedIn, it's crazy the amount of discussion about it feeling passive aggressive and a modern-day power move. Also, not the best first impression to ask a guest to book the meeting when you're the one trying to make the deal happen!

We're a team with a deep communication background, so not approaching the problem with tech alone, but also with a sense of what is efficient comms for both user and the guest.

We're using an AI agent that you Cc into the email - it pulls context from the emails (intent, sentiment, location, length), calls your preset preferences and calendar, and suggests convenient times for both parties.

The beauty of email Cc = we've been trained our entire working life to use it so no new behaviours needed or tools to manage, and every time you use it, we're introduced to a potential customer.

If you want a demo, I'd love to get your feedback!
