Been giving up my entire life - now I finally found passion
I'm 26 now, and ever since I was maybe 11 years old I have been "starting" businesses. When I was young, I of course new nothing, so I would come up with some stupid idea and not know how to sell/market it.
The earliest one I remember is learning what Wix was so I made a website that was supposedly for sharing stories. I thought I would be the next Zuckerburg. The next day I signed on to see that my page got 0 visits overnight so I quit. I guess I thought people just scroll across new websites lol.
Every 6 months I would be on some new journey, each being slightly less stupid, and slightly more guided than the last. I went from watching Shark Tank to reading books by Richard Branson and starting to really understand what entrepreneurship means and takes.
But still, I couldnt stick with my ideas. Even if it seemed good and people encouraged me, my interest just faded away. I thought something was wrong with me. I thought I was lazy or my ADHD was too bad or something and I wanted to give up for good out of hatred for myself.
And I think I've finally solved it. I was building things that I thought would bring in money. Not building things that I wanted to build. Ik Ik that sounds crazy cliche, but I guess I'm just excited. This new platform I'm building has so much potential in my head, working on it is all I can do. I used to have to fight the urge to scroll through my phone. Now I don't even know where my phone is half the time because Im hyperfocused. Anyways Im happy :)
My platform is a marketplace to help SMBs find automation freelancers. In the future there will be algorithmic matching, team dashboards, and a ton more.
As of right now, I am still building the talent pool, and developing the MVP. I do have a small feature out which is a basic chatbot trained to help small business owners (who often have no knowledge of what automation can/cannot do) discover ways to implement AI and automation into their business.
I'm new to product hunt so I'm not sure if I can link or not. But hello everyone! I plan on being here a lot now :)
