Website builder reimagined from the ground up! Develop and design at the same time, while adding content by simply dragging in your files. Kind of like a hybrid of Webflow, Squarespace and Google Docs.
Hi makers! π
We've built a tool to give you the superpowers and expertise we've gathered for 14 years!
As the name suggests it's heavily based on grids (CSS grids), and powered by reactive JavaScript (VueJS) underneath.
Unlike other website-builders you will have the power to create single page JavaScript sites, that can also act as installable mobile apps (PWA). This also makes it possible to score a perfect benchmark score in Chromeβs Lighthouse! β‘οΈ
Here are some sample sites:

This is the future, and we hope you want to be a part of it!
@okydk Awesome, had no idea it's a single page site. This is cool when one wants to keep an audio player in the footer, playing at all times for example, while navigating away to other pages. Would this be something easily doable?
Checked this out, considering moving my portfolio to a more easily editable format. Looks clean and is dead simple but it's definitely too pricey for me. Especially when you compare to something like webflow.
@ben_picard Hi Ben, thanks for your feedback. Hosting-wise, we're similar to the 'Business hosting' from Webflow, but the outcome is quite different. Webflow generates static websites, where as with grid.studio you'll get a dynamic web-app. Would you be interested in a 'light' version?
@ben_picard If you have multiple sites the pro version will make sense (once ready). But you're right that a limit/light version could be a solution for small sites. Thanks again for your input!
Hands down my favorite websitebuilder (and I've tried a lot of them, trust me π). It's easy, intuitive and what I like most is that I don't have to compromise on the design!
This product is quite unique and it has become a favourite of mine in the DIY space. I'll put it right there with Readymag and CargoCollective, when it comes to how they all approach building a site. But hear me out - Grid is the simplest of all. With serious research comes serious opinions. :)
Lots of potential, excited to see how it progresses! And always available to help. :)
@john_c_palmer Hi John. Someone else mentioned this on Twitter as well. Have you tried the tool yet? π Both solutions seems to be grid-based, but that's pretty much the only thing they have in common.
Hey guys, will you be adding a way to export code to this? That's a big advantage of Webflow at the moment (and they recently added CSS grid, making their builder similar to yours). I understand Grid Studio build PWA, not static sites (pretty cool!) but still, for someone who wants a static site but like the ease of use of your product, the price is prohibitive.
@anna_0x Hi Anna, thanks for your feedback (also during the beta)! As mentioned in the reply to @ben_picard you'll have to compare to Webflow's 'Business Hosting'. We might offer a 'light' version later, and expect to offer export for our pro-version. Considering you get premium hosting and a built-in crossplatform app we think it's quite fair - but for small static sites you're currently right.
@ben_picard@okydk yes of course, I'm only referring to those times when someone does not need premium hosting, small projects :) in Webflow, you can design the site for free for as long as you want, and then subscribe for one month in order be able to export the code. So for 20 Euro you can take your time to design the site, and only pay once you wanna export.
@ben_picard@anna_0x I totally agree. 20β¬ for a quick export makes sense, for small static sites. But hosting dynamic PWAs sets certain requirements for the server, so it's simply to ensure the best performance and delivery that we do not offer export yet. Furthermore all images are tailored to the individual devices, meaning we would have to generate infinite images or decide on generic sizes resulting in overhead. Would love your input for the upcoming pro-version, as I think it will be a better fit for you. π
@hamaclean iPad support is still experimental π but thanks! The plan is to connect with various sources such as Google Sheets, Airtable and Stripe, to simply pull your existing data and show it to the world. Kind of like a public view-layer of your business. π
@okydk Hey Stefan, nice product you've got. One question, do you have some kind of API in which one could build own components for the editor? I also wrote to your support chat :)
