When it comes to @minimalist phone: reduce your screentime – primary, it is Instagram (organic + ads). (for ads Meta – FB, IG), but also Twitter (organic), Reddit (organic) and YouTube (organic + ads)
@busmark_w_nika I guess it has a lot to do with your target audience as well. For example, you won't be sharing news for the tech-savvy users in the average channels. Forums also play an important role in building an online community. Thanks for sharing!
@lakshya_singh Definitely! The logic behind us joining Bluesky is kind of going back in time with Instagram. The longer you've been on a platform doesn't necessarily mean you'll have a bigger community, but you do get some perks like building trust by reserving a username. Thank you for sharing!
@thaw_tran I haven't tried out any manager lately. The last time I tried one I used Later, but found it too pricey and very limited for emerging startups. What channel managers have you tried out?
When it comes to Lifetoon, I wanted to test more social channels to see what sticks or what fits. When I opened the accounts, we didn't have PMF and a clear idea of our ICP. I started posting on IG, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok and Threads. A couple of weeks in, the main channels remained IG, LinkedIn and Facebook, and the others are just secondary, as I'd like to focus more on them once we have the chance to increase the team.
@ruxandra_mazilu This also has to do a lot with your target audience. Perhaps Lifetoon users are more familiar with IG than TikTok, for example. In such cases, I believe making research on channels can also be useful. Thank you for sharing your experience!
@ruxandra_mazilu@manuelzarroca I like your experimental approach Ruxandra - how much cross pollination are you doing on the channels? If that is useful for your product that is! :)
Right now, we are focused on LinkedIn for thought leadership and networking, X (Twitter) for real-time updates and community conversations, and Reddit for more organic, niche engagement.
@jennifer147 That’s right! I haven’t tried LinkedIn yet but I’ve heard it works best for building communities between companies and professionals. I’m still a student and on the inside I’m kind of reserving my “LinkedIn account opening” for when I start my professional career! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and this trend :)
I feel like Instagram and Facebook are the basic social media channels any company should have. TikTok is nice to have too especially now that we're into short-form fast-paced videos.
We’ve seen the best traction from Instagram and YouTube — especially when speaking directly to creators and brands. It’s been game-changing to build awareness in conversations around monetization and creator-brand partnerships (which our platform is structured to facilitate).

@manuelzarroca Yes, you are right, I am trying to tailor my content to each platform :) or tweak it a bit.
@manuelzarroca @busmark_w_nika Out of interest, are you using any tools to tailor your content to each platform? Or is this a manual process?
Nomadful
@busmark_w_nika @a_s71 Great question! Personally, this is done on a manual basis. Are you using tools to tailor content?

We have observed that YouTube works the best for us. And for founder led marketing, we are focusing on that right now. What's yours?

@lakshya_singh For Nomadful, we're trying to build a community here on ProductHunt, but we're also joining emerging channels such as Bluesky.

@haiqa_irfan Yeah! Platforms like X/Twitter or Bluesky are super handy when it comes to updating community members in real-time
We stick with LinkedIn because it's great for connecting with other businesses and sharing helpful content that resonates with our B2B crowd.
