What's your experience with community engagement?

Context: Building an open source Agentic AI Framework, so engaging with dev community is important.

Curious how others are approaching it. Here's what I’ve tried so far:

• Dev.to

  I published 7 blogs, including tech tutorials, list-style posts, and one job description. Grew from 0 to 500+ followers in one months.

  But the more practical, code-based content barely reached 50 reads.
  I will try lighter content next.

• Hashnode

  Posted 3 blogs. Total views: under 20.

  I'm starting to doubt if the platform is used by anyone - outside people that's posting like me.

• Hacker News

  I’ve tried posting some of the content on HN. Got one post passed through and had some traffic to the website.

Obviously, I'm still figuring out what actually works.

How are you building community or getting your content noticed? Any insights, experiments, or surprises worth sharing?
