Have you used any apps to convert tickets into Apple Wallet passes?
Hey PH!
I’ve noticed that many ticket providers (especially smaller airlines, local events, indie hotels) don’t offer native support for Apple Wallet, so people either end up screenshotting their ticket or manually digging through their inbox at the airport or event gate (that’s me!).
My questions to y'all:
Have you ever used an app or service to create your own Apple Wallet pass? (e.g., Pass2U, PassWallet, Stocard, etc.)
What worked well — and what was frustrating?
Would you pay for a simple web-based tool that converts your ticket into a clean, wallet-compatible format (with optional reminders or geolocation alerts)?
Any privacy, UX, or legal concerns that you think such tools should address up front?
I’d love to learn from what’s already out there and avoid reinventing the wheel. If you’ve built something similar or are just passionate about good travel/event UX, I’d really appreciate your thoughts!
TIA!

Hey mate, first of all i'll answer your questions quickly: I never used anything of that kind.
But yesterday I came across https://www.trybadge.com/ while wandering on PH haha, I don't know if you checked it already but it seems like they're building something similar. Might worth a check! It looks like they're targeting B2B tho, and your idea of just screenshotting a ticket to get an Apple Wallet pass sounds really interesting, especially for individuals. I would definitely use that, not sure I'd pay a subscription tho as it's really occasional, but maybe a one time payment?
Anyways, that's a very cool idea!
@titouan_de_dain thanks for pointing me to trybadge. Will check them out! Will keep you posted on the idea if I get into it!
I'm in the process of adding event tickets to Apple and Google wallets as a SaaS platform. It is not too easy so I search for a SaaS / API to do it and found a few but nothing fit the bill from a pricing perspective. A simple admin where i upload my Apple Cert and/or whatever I need for Google and then can call and API to get the file/link I need would be great. I'm on .NET and ran into cert issues. Went well locally but then took quite a while to figure out the issue and solve it on Azure. I think having a really simple pay as you go API would help a lot of these smaller ticket providers offer it natively. A little different than what your are describing but just a thought.
fyi - I'm building https://AnyRegistration.com - which is similar to EventBrite but for non-profits so it supports sponsorships, table/team registrations, invoicing, etc.
@scott_juranek thanks, for your inputs. did you check out these guys - they appear to be flexible with the pricing: https://www.addtowallet.com/pricing
@airborneiam Nice find, thank you! I sent them a message to ask about pay as you go pricing.
@scott_juranek would love to know how it goes!
