Entertainment VC flow: who’s funding next-gen media tools?

It’s been a weirdly active month for entertainment x tech VC:

  • Omaha Productions (Peyton Manning’s fund) is backing startups blending sports, media, and AI

  • VO/D raised $5M to build plug-and-play brands for celebrities — basically a "celebrity brand factory"

  • Abridge and Thinking Machines Lab just closed $300M+ rounds (AI-driven voice + creative ops)

Meanwhile, gaming VC hit a 2-year low — just $627M in Q2.
And vibe coding is bleeding into creative tools fast.

Me myself is a big fan of entertainment industry since my childhood.

But looking at the venture context I begin to pivot my strategy from venture — to solo-founder.
Getting my first entertainment TTRPG project ready for the launch soon now.
But I feel like I should fully rely on my resources only, till the first traction will hit the cap.
No venture money, only vibecoding and guerrilla marketing.

All of this got me thinking:

Where’s the real action now in entertainment tech?

Are we about to see a wave of “AI-powered creators” raising like it's 2021 SaaS?

Or are we still too early for infra-level AI tools in media to scale?

Would love to hear what you’re seeing — or building — in this zone.

Especially anything niche, indie, weird-but-working.
