Does it make sense to create a marketing course? [The latest App Mafia "case"]
I don't know what it is, but I feel like everyone was fed up with these courses a year ago (I have to admit that I was also thinking about creating one, but at this time, everyone was profiled as a "marketing guru").
When I thought it was over... ONE BIG SURPRISE... it is not, and some guys on X (called App Mafia) dropped one worth $997.
It has received a lot of criticism for the Andrew Tate style in which they present it.
I have to admit that from a marketing perspective, they have served their purpose: they are spreading quickly, people are talking about them, sharing them. I think it will find its target audience, but I don’t completely agree with the concept.
What do you think?
Does it make sense to create a marketing course?
What is your take on the way those young guys presented?
What could be done better?

This is the sort of thing that I usually write off as a scam. Even if it's not, there re so many scams out there, I'd automatically assume it is one.
@tmtabor Guys hosted a Twitter space yesterday, and oddly enough, they had a huge audience that listened to them. Probably their plan worked partially.
Creating a marketing course can make sense if you have unique insights or proven strategies. App Mafia’s latest case shows high demand for actionable, real-world marketing knowledge. Focus on practical takeaways that students can immediately apply to see results.

New courses will definitely be beneficial for all of us, as fresh, well-presented information is very effective. However, for other users to take the course, you need to prove that it’s truly worth it, which is also quite a challenge. Although, as you mentioned, if people are good at selling, then even a marketing course will sell well xd
@ixord I would like to see those people who really bought that course :D

@busmark_w_nika XD
I once did a social media bootcamp at miami ad school, online, almost like social media marketing. Shelled out a lot of money for it. And till date? It's one of the most disappointing courses I ever spent my money on. I regret spending on that. The marketing of the course was so good but they 95% under delivered for me. Should have known that algorithms change and I could have learned much more randomly online and by doing stuff
@mirabellemorah What was the cost of the course? I mean pricing.
@busmark_w_nika like 5k usd
@mirabellemorah TBH, I wouldn't give such money for a course even to myself :D
depends what's inside
@byalexai After such hate on Twitter, I am not so sure whether I want to know it :D
there is definitely a point if you bring new value !
@oleksandr_samoilenko Well, but from their video, even they didn't know what they were doing! :D https://x.com/TakoTreba/status/1959969379401028063
