Aren't you all already tired of new projects/products/services based on AI?
I use generative AI (mainly ChatGPT, but have tried many over the last few months) for work every day, and it's super helpful, especially with tasks that I consider boring. In general, generative AI is becoming more and more popular, and everyone uses it to create a new app, product, or service.
But is it really the solution to everything?
At some point, I feel like products with AI all look the same and wonder...can't ChatGPT already do everything quite good? Do we really need a specific AI for every little task?
Just some reflections based on all the products I see here on PH and other platforms and social media.
Curious to know what you think about it!

Agreed! The AI gold rush does feel overwhelming sometimes—like everyone’s reinventing the wheel, but shinier. That said, though I’ll make an exception for AI that does one thing brilliantly vs. ten things mediocrely. Maybe the key is whether it solves a real pain point VS just slapping ‘AI-powered’ on something ChatGPT already does fine.
@rani_zagita I think you explained it right, it does feel like a gold rush! And ChatGPT is always improving, day after day, so I think others struggle to stay ahead and create something that is truly game-changing. Curious to see how things will develop in a few months or years.

I see AI as a way to automate our processes, and if it's implemented into a product in a way that genuinely improves it — then that makes sense. But sometimes AI is added to products that don’t really need it at all, and in those cases, it starts to feel a bit strange.
@ixord I agree with you, AI truly helps automate a lot of processes. I just feel like people believe that nowadays, the only way to sell a product is to integrate AI into it, so they simply go with it without even thinking if it's truly helpful. It's like we all started to believe that nothing is possible without AI lol
@manu_goel2 I believe AI's influence is huge, too. I just think that ChatGPT is already quite good at doing a lot of things, but some people believe that they can create a better, more specialized app that, in the end, is not truly helpful.
For example, I tried a new app recently that included different "AI professionals" who specialize in different marketing tasks (one who's great at crafting email templates, one who focuses on creating social media posts, etc.). The idea was to have your own "marketing team" without having to hire real humans.
Well, I tried both this app and ChatGPT, asking the same things, and ChatGPT was, in my opinion, much better (it remembered previous templates down to the smallest detail, clearly understood my prompts without changing anything, and so on).
So, I felt like this app (like others) didn't truly add value to what we can already do with ChatGPT.
Did something similar ever happen to you? What do you think?
@manu_goel2 I thought the same until a few weeks ago. I'm a copywriter and content writer, so I perfectly understand what you mean when you say that AI doesn't truly represent you, and it takes 3 times the time to write something.
But I've found that if you feed it your own words, even without following a clear order or structure, and ask ChatGPT to refine it, it's quite good at it. It automatically deletes all typos and grammar errors and helps find a more coherent structure to your thoughts.
I would never use it to start a text from scratch (it simply can't do it), but it sure can enhance yours. At least, that's what I think.
