What Fyxer alternative do you know that is good?
I'm Alex, building ActorDO AI Assistant as a Fyxer alternative.
I was wondering what other alternatives to Fyxer or Actordo have you checked and are good?
At ActorDO, we're building An AI Assistant for busy professionals to streamline email, calendar and tasks.
What features do you like more?

The main issue I have with @Fyxer , @Lindy , @Shortwave , Superhuman, @Cora , etc. is that they all claim to draft emails in my tone and none of them actually do. Vanilla AI drafted emails are all terrible and without tuning to my previous emails they don't provide me any value. I also find zero value in categorizing my email and would actually prefer to have that turned off. Shoving my emails into arbitrary labels is annoying. The only thing I want is to draft emails based on my previous replies.
The way I do this now I:
- Use Google Apps Script (yes, it's a thing) to take my last 100 sent emails and put it in a Google Doc
- The doc is added to a project in Claude with simple directions to use my actual tone and answers
- Paste emails into Claude
- Copy responses into Gmail
This works better than anything because it has my tone and my answers but it sucks that none of the magic inbox assistants can do better than this.
How do you deliver on emails in my tone at ActorDO?
@steveb Indeed, drafts with user's tone is hard regardless how good the AI is.
We're at 3rd version about generating the drafts. First 1 was junk, second a bit better, and now we work on 3rd version.
Next week we'll probably be read with it. How we plan doing it? Building a very very small model for each user, and save it for reuse, based on past emails.
Might be similar to what you do with the Apps script, but price-wise we can't do this with every draft. That's why we work on reusable micro-models.

@alxrda I'm curious why you can't make a custom model work on a $25/month plan. It makes sense to be a premium feature and I'd happily pay for it if it worked.
Lindy does a good job of allowing me to set context and segment emails based on filters/params. I would use it for everything if it did things in my tone. Happy to use Actordo if you can do it.
@steveb You can set context, you can segment emails based on filters (prompts) and a few more things. Already. That's the part that's working well.
For the drafts, a custom general model won't do more than what it already does with a generic LLM, because of the difference in styles for 1000+ users.
The tone thing that follows you is what we work on. And we might be closer than we think to have an improved solution. We might have over engineered some things, but that's tech.
I'm happy to have it tested at any time, but ideally I'd like to get out the next version of drafts before.
It's a mix of CX and technical aspects. While I don't want to get into too many details, my personal view is that iterating is better than trying to do it well from the beginning.
Let me update here when 3.0 is live.
