Just dropped Fuego 0.26 - Google Cloud Storage support + major UX improvements!
Hey Product Hunt community! 👋
We just released a massive update to Fuego (our Firebase/Firestore desktop client) and I'm excited to share what's new:
🆕 Google Cloud Storage Support (Beta)
The big one! You can now manage your Google Cloud Storage directly from Fuego:
Image previews with automatic resizing
Built-in text editor with syntax highlighting for 15+ languages (Go, TypeScript, Python, Swift, etc.)
PDF and video previews
Easy file/folder upload/download
🎯 Enhanced Data Management
Resizable & drag-and-drop columns in document tables
Improved bookmarks (finally renameable!)
Smart document conflict prevention
Better global search with resource type filters
⚡ Developer Experience Upgrades
Code lens and inline hints in Monaco Editor
Snippets for complex Firebase objects (GeoPoint, Timestamp, References)
Performance boosts across table views and context menus
For those new to Fuego: We're building the desktop GUI that makes working with Firestore databases, Firebase Auth, and now Cloud Storage actually enjoyable. Think of it as the Firebase tool Google should have built.
Available for macOS (Apple Silicon & Intel) and Windows (x64) at fuegoapp.dev/download (Linux support coming soon)
What do you think? Any Firebase developers here who've been waiting for better storage management tools?
