Hey, Product Hunters! 👋

I am founder at Fieldy - a wearable note taker. Today, we are officially launching Fieldy and we are excited to share our journey!!!

We are the first wearable note taker to ship to actual users back in March 2024 and have shipped 9000 units to date.

For you hunters, we are offering 21% OFF with a code PH21OFF on fieldy.ai!

What does it do?
Fieldy is an always-on wearable note taker. It transcribes conversations in real-time, automatically splits them up and generates summaries.

We are solving a pain of holding a conversation and taking notes at the same time as well as the social awkwardness of taking your phone out during an in-person meeting. We'd like everyone to just focus on the conversation and let Fieldy remember the details.

How does it work?
Fieldy connects to your phone over Bluetooth and streams data over your phone for processing. We are special, because we don't store any audio after audio processing is done.

Features:
⚡️ Real-time transcriptions

🔐 No audio stored, just words
✅ Automatic reminders. Fieldy will create a reminder from a verbal promise you make during your conversation.
💬 AI Chat. The app does retrieval over all of your conversations, it will help you recall information, but it's also amazing at self-reflective conversations.
🔎 Search. Need to lookup something from your recent or year old conversations? We got you.
🗂️ 10+ Templates. We built professional summary templates for healthcare, sales and managers: SOAP, BANT, 1 on 1, hiring interview, etc.

Device Specifications:
🔋 3 days battery life - though some users get from Monday to Friday on one charge.
🤏 Dimensions: 37x25x11 mm
🏋️‍♀️ Weights only 25 grams
💽 36 hours of offline storage (software support still in development)
💎 A carabiner hook allows you to swap to your favorite necklace

Use cases:
Our target group is people with at 2-3 hours of in-person meetings per day.

Story:
Around two years ago I was at a company building AI workflows for small business owners. We learned that a huge UX problem is user context:
1. What problems are you currently dealing with?
2. How are you or your company growing?
3. What's on your mind?

This problem is fundamental to all AI products, more data -> more useful AI systems. In my mind the most straight to the point solution is a wearable device for capturing conversations.

On January 2024 with this vision I left the company and took a one way trip to San Francisco where I made a viral launch and $20k revenue - https://x.com/ItsMartynasK/statu...

This initial $20k enabled the team to bootstrap the company to several thousand orders and we are growing!

Vision
You probably notice that our messaging right now is different from the initial insight, the reason for the pivot is 2 lessons:
1. It's difficult to ship great hardware & software products
2. People already get a LOOT of value from note taking, as evident by growth of digital note takers

So a wearable note taker that simply works is a stepping stone to the much more exciting future that personal context will enable and we are grateful to have a chance to build something amazing in computing history.

Salim Dabanca

@mkrupskis Hi, why did you create a physical device while all phones can record voices with one easy tap?

Martynas Krupskis

@salim_dabanca Hi! Fieldy is always recording and we split up the words into conversations automatically. It's a different user experience, as you simply have it on you and don't have to worry to take notes or open any apps.

For many our users this is the selling point, as they find taking out their phone to start recording is just awkward.

Having a dedicated always-on hardware is also part of our long-term vision of making AI systems more helpful with access to more of your personal context. This is our big dream and it's not really possible with existing hardware.

What's your take on it? I see you are in the space, so curious to hear!

Tadas Gedgaudas

Finally I'll remember what my girlfriend tells me 😂

Alex Cloudstar

Congratulations on launching Fieldy! 🎉 Your wearable note taker sounds like a game-changer for anyone juggling conversations and note-taking. The focus on privacy and real-time transcription is impressive. Best of luck with this exciting journey and your vision for the future! 🌟

Martynas Krupskis

@alex_cloudstar Appreciate the support 🙏

Sam @CRANQ

Taking notes while staying present in a conversation is hard...(done it one too many times)

Love that it’s wearable (defo the next big thing, think Meta glasses), real-time + privacy focused

The kind of tool you quickly wonder how you lived without!! Wishing you all the best as this rolls out!

Martynas Krupskis

@cranqnow It's great that you notice the problem we are trying to solve!

Evgenii Zaitsev

Fieldy sounds like an incredible solution for anyone who spends a lot of time in meetings! The ability to automatically transcribe conversations in real-time and generate summaries is a huge time-saver. Can multiple languages be supported, or is it currently limited to one?

Adomas Valiukevičius

@evgenii_zaitsev1 Hello, thanks for asking! We strive for transcription quality across many languages and we currently support 100 languages (English being only 1 of them). We are working hard to make other languages besides English work well, and it does!
Let me know if you have any other questions :)

Nick Stamatiadis

That's really interesting! I think it can go way beyond business meetings, like family or relationship examples 😅

The only thing is that people will have to get used to knowing that they're being recorded the whole time

Gomantas Dasiūnas

@nickstam Hey, that's true! We want Fieldy to be used across all areas of life — work meetings, appointments, family conversations, daily reflections. It's all about remembering the important decisions and insights from your day-to-day life :)

Also, Fieldy doesn't actually record audio — it just transcribes in real-time and discards the audio completely. Voice recordings are not stored anywhere.

Germán Merlo
Wow! It’s super cool. Note taking is becoming key but your bringing the game beyond. Wish you the best on this impressive launch!
Karolis Mariunas

@german_merlo1 Thank you! And it's really lovely to see such enthusiasm, we are really excited as well!

Egret

very interesting!

Miyo Danzel

Curious to know, how many have been sold so far?

Gomantas Dasiūnas

@miyo_danzel Shipped over 9.000 units so far!

Miyo Danzel

@gerk_vandeni darn it. Sam should have partnered with you, not JI ;D :P

CaiCai

I really like the appearance design of this product. It makes me feel like I am wearing a very exquisite stone. I think I will like it very much and I am ready to place an order

Martynas Krupskis

@hi_caicai Nice one! Yeah it's a unique shape, what other form you think you'd like?

CaiCai

@mkrupskis If possible, I would prefer a slightly oval shape, or a cone

CaiCai

@mkrupskis By the way, I noticed that Canada doesn't seem to be within the delivery range. When will Canada be added to the range?

Martynas Krupskis

@hi_caicai Hey there! I just tried and Canada seems to be on a list. Can you try again on fieldy.ai? Use PH21OFF for 21% off.

CaiCai

@mkrupskis Thank you very much, I tried it and it is indeed there, it just doesn't show on the homepage

Lukas Kaminskis

Great product, team! Kudos

Jason Chernofsky

i love the concept

is there a non-necklace option? is there a way for it to hear without being visible?

Martynas Krupskis

@jason_chernofsky Thanks! You can wear under a t-shirt or jacket, it still works pretty well :)

Martynas Krupskis

@jason_chernofsky but to answer your question, we are working on next-gen that might be a different form factor ;)

Robert Lukoshko

Very cool congrats

Simona O'Neill
Wow, so nice to see a team of my native Lithuanian makers (judging by some names) building something pretty amazing. 🤩 Congrats! Haven’t seen anything like this before. I think that ir certainly solves a problem and is more user friendly than using your phone . As long as everyone is aware that the conversation is being recorded 😉
Vivi

Fieldy can save me in meetings. Never miss details, notes auto-organized. Truly useful for focused conversations.

Tomo

This is a brilliant idea! It seems like it would make note-taking during in-person meetings significantly easier. I'd love to try it out.

Gabe Perez

I'm a really big fan of this space. Between this, @Limitless, @omi, @Plaud Note, and @Friend we're seeing some great competition which I'm excited for. I do love using @Granola on my phone but hate having to trigger my phone or rely on it for recording, memories, and then manually tracking to-dos, and since there's no API for it have to rely on the stand alone hardware for now!

Congrats @mkrupskis + team! Just ordered one and excited to give it a try. IRL Granola really sold me.

Kaushik Venugopal

I have been using a similar product.. Starts with a P and ends with a D...

I have been pretty satisfied with the recording, trascription quality and the features. The limits on the transcription and the confusing start and stop recordings are the only complaints I have...

What more do you offer to switch, in terms of features offered?

Also, Congrats on the launch and wishing you and your team all success!

Emmanuel O. Adegbite
This is a very interesting and useful product, the 3 days battery is huge seller
Ryan Snyder

Sounds awesome - interesting in picking one up!

Does it require having your phone nearby / with you at all times for that recording connection? I'd love to be able to use it while out walking my dog or just in times when my phone is either at home or in my bag.

Ryan Snyder

From the Fieldy onboarding video, looks like you have to keep the app running in the background while connected in Fieldy in order to "get the best experience." Is that the only way to record with Fieldy, by having your phone with you and running the app to capture? If that's the case why not just get a nice more low profile microphone, like a Hollylark, and just audio record as needed and then run that through ChatGPT/Claude/Etc? Trying to understand the use case and how the product works compared to Limitless and similar products
