Turn your Android into an AI playground. DroidRun lets you create and control autonomous agents across native mobile apps, perfect for testing, automation, and experimentation. 100% open-source and cloud-ready soon.
If you’ve ever tried automating real mobile apps, you know the pain:
Most tools are bloated, brittle, or built for QA teams or not for devs who want control, flexibility, and speed.
We built DroidRun to change that.
Works with real Android apps - not just web views or emulators
Fully open-source - inspect, extend, and run it your way
Fast local setup - and cloud support is coming soon!
Whether you’re testing flows, building bots, scraping UIs, or powering autonomous agents like DroidRun gives you full control over mobile automation on real devices.
We’re building in public and learning with the community.
👉 Try it, break it, give us feedback – we’re here for it.
@pe_lae Looks super promising, Peter. Love that it works on real Android apps and not just emulators. Open-source and fast setup is a big win. Good luck with the launch!
Wow, it's incredibly useful for automating tasks on my mobile device, such as scraping data. I would like to know if it must run on a computer and if a mobile device needs to be connected to it. Additionally, can it access clipboard data?
@jaredl Currently it works via adb, so it needs a connection to a computer. However we are also strongly looking into making a standalone version so it works within a single APK.
No way, controlling real Android apps with AI agents is genius! Testing automation has always been a nightmare for me—open source too? Curious if cloud support will let me scale up even more.
Been lucky enough to test this already - a great use case for me has been to have it run through conference apps to find the people and events that are relevant to me. Can't recommend this enough.
@Droidrun This is super exciting for the "agent era" vision! Being able to truly interact with *native* Android apps for autonomous agents opens up so many possibilities for experimentation and building. It's a game-changer compared to just web views. My question is, how straightforward is it to integrate DroidRun with popular AI/LLM frameworks to build these intelligent agents? ✨🤖
DroidRun feels like a serious unlock for mobile-native AI prototyping, agent autonomy across native apps, without waiting on enterprise SDKs or closed platforms.
Open-source foundations plus upcoming cloud readiness make it a playground for both indie builders and automation-first teams.
I really loved Droidrun for its ability to let AI control Android apps using real UI data. It’s much more reliable than traditional methods, easy to set up, and works with many AI models. It’s a great tool for mobile automation. This product is freakingly good. I must say it ate bread and left no crumbs.

Let’s bring real mobile automation into the agent era
@pe_lae it looks powerfu! How does it handle interruptions, can agents adapt or recover in real time?
Droidrun
@pe_lae @mohsinproduct The agent has a strong reasoning + reflection mode which auto corrects, when there is some erroneous state.

@joey_zhu_seopage_ai Yes the cloud solution will allow you to scale up > 100 emulated phones for testing etc.

This is super cool! Love the idea of turning an Android device into a playground for autonomous agents.

Controlling ai agents across android apps - that's really BRAVO!!

Cool ideas. A team of autonomous agents on my device sounds great. What Android version or specs would you recommend for optimal performance?
Droidrun
@sig_eternal You don't need fancy hardware for this. Every Android device > Android 10 works fine
Eternal AI
@niels_schmidt1 That's cool. Looking forward to the growth!

@jinsoncjohny We are already working on a hosted cloud solution which will make it way easier for non-devs to automate their apps.

can we use this to automate tiktok scrolling?
Droidrun
@mertyerekapan Yes you can automate every app

Looks great. Cannot wait to play around with it. Will you offer a hosted version soon?
Droidrun
@mikemahlkow Yes we’ll be onboarding the first developers from our waitlist to the closed alpha of our cloud version this week.
Interesting! What has the team seen in terms of most valuable types of use cases for this?
