The future of Dad Reply
π
Firstly, a huge thank you to anyone that upvoted Dad Reply. I honestly wasn't expecting the response I got.
Originally this was just a joke I wanted to post on Reddit, but couldn't because of the strict Reddit filters (only managed r/webdev). So I thought it would be fun to post on Product Hunt instead.
I've honestly spent more time replying and keeping up with the feedback, then I have on the actual plugin.
Because of the response I am committed to adding some additional features, some that have been suggested, as well as some of my own.
I'm not going to reveal anything yet. Those that work in tech know it's best to temper expectations. However I will say that, as of this morning a new version is in the works.
It's also worth mentioning that I am currently on holiday, so my priorities are to spend time with my family, swimming and reading (1984 for those that are interested). The rest of the time I will be working on the next update.
In the meantime, if you want to get to more about me, I suggest you follow me on various platforms;
I write about design/creativity on Substack (and yes I plan to a write about this).
I'm somewhat professional on Linkedin, either follow, or if you want to connect, please include a message.
I'm not that active on Twitter but that may change.
I'll sign off the only way I know how.
Thanks again, you know what to do in the comments.

sometimes @aaronoleary does a segment on lighthearted products like this!
@prmack @aaronoleary @catt_marroll You were ranked, yes, but I was hoping for the write-up, NY Mag style.
