Hi everyone!
Following the great response to my chess scanner app, I'm excited to announce the launch of the web version!
What's New:
- Full web interface: Scan and manage your chess games directly from your computer
- Pay-per-scan pricing: No subscriptions needed, just pay for what you use
- Desktop convenience: Perfect for tournament directors and players who prefer working on larger screens
- Same powerful scanning: All the OCR magic that detects grids and notations, now in your browser
Coming Very Soon:
- Cross-device sync: Games will automatically sync between the mobile app and web version
- Multi-device access: Start on mobile, finish on desktop, or vice versa
- Seamless workflow: Your entire chess game library accessible anywhere
Why Web Version:
Many of you requested a desktop solution, especially tournament directors who need to process multiple games efficiently. The web version offers the same lightning-fast scanning with the convenience of a full-sized screen and keyboard.
Pricing Update:
- Mobile app: Free scanning, optional subscription for advanced features
- Web version: Simple pay-per-scan model - no recurring fees
The sync feature is currently in final testing and will roll out within the next few weeks, making this a complete cross-platform solution for chess game digitization.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the web version! Whether you're a tournament director, club player, or chess enthusiast, your feedback helps shape the future of this tool. What features would make your chess game management even easier?
