@shenjun Thank you mate, it's started as funny approach for myself back in school. But actually turned into a daily useful habbit lmao

Hello Product Hunt! đź‘‹

My name's Harry Smith, and if you’ve ever found yourself going down a YouTube or Reddit rabbit hole instead of doing what you planned. Well that's me!

Back when I was in school, I struggled to stay focused while browsing on my computer. I’d tell myself,

“Just one more video”

but hours later, I’d still be watching.

Fast forward a few years, I picked up programming and decided to build a tool to help me stay on track—without completely blocking websites.

How It Works

  • Set Intervals – BrainGate presents a question at set intervals (e.g., every 10–20 minutes).

  • AI – You create a topic (e.g., “React JS”), and BrainGate generates relevant multiple-choice questions on the fly.

  • Keeps you mindful – To regain access, you simply answer the question (right or wrong)

  • Micro learning - Research has come out and proven that learning in small micro bursts has huge learning impacts.

I initially built it just for myself, and I used it to learn React JS while watching YouTube. But after using it for a while, I realized it could help a lot of people who struggle with staying productive online.

Free vs. Paid Version

I kept the core experience free, but with some limits:

  • Free Version – 3 questions per day, 1 topic at a time.

  • Pro Version – Unlimited questions & topics (so questions will cycle through your topics)

Try It Out – One Month Free!

Since this is my first launch, I’d love to hear what you think! I’m offering a free month of BrainGate Pro to Product Hunt users—just use the code "PRODUCTHUNT" when signing up.

Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback. 🙏

This is a smart approach to digital wellness. Integrating AI to promote focused browsing and continuous learning is both timely and impactful. Well done to the team behind BrainGate.io.

It would be more helpful if this would ask questions related to the online course I am doing like on Udemy or Coursera.

Harry Smith

@vishal_bansal003 Ohh interesting, I like that idea! I was thinking of adding a feature where you can past a link to a website or YouTube and it will ask questions around that. But Udemy would be sick too! Thank you đź’—
