Is Appwrite This Your Next Backend Stack?

Just looking into Appwrite, the open-source backend that packs a lot in one spot: Auth, Databases, Storage, Serverless Functions, Realtime, and Messaging. It seems designed to speed up development, letting you self-host or use their cloud, and it works with many languages.

I'm curious:

How has Appwrite worked out for you in practice?

How does an "all-in-one" compare to using separate tools in your workflow?

And thinking about your daily stack, how do you see Appwrite fitting in with other tools?

Let's hear your thoughts!

Hey @rolambuilds! I’m from the Appwrite team, love seeing your curiosity around it! 😄

Personally (and even before I joined the team), I found Appwrite super handy. Having auth, DB, storage, functions, messaging and realtime all bundled just makes things faster and less messy.

All-in-one saves you from the pain of gluing a bunch of tools together. And it still plays well with other services if you need to extend. I still mix in other stuff depending on the project, but Appwrite sits nicely at the core, especially for backend.

ps: we’ve got a new Sites feature(https://www.producthunt.com/products/appwrite/launches/appwrite-sites) rolling out soon, makes deploying frontend apps so easy. keep an eye out, it’s gonna be super handy! 🚀
