After a super successful launch in April, we were blown away by the response from our community. You gave us feedback. We listened—and kicked things into gear. ALTAR 2.0 is the result: a powerful, easy-to-use multi-agent workspace that turns saved content into structured knowledge and high-quality outputs—without the chaos. We’re not just building another AI wrapper. We’re designing a system that thinks with you—combining deep memory, agentic workflows, and generation tools into one flow. What’s new? • Multi-agent orchestration • Smarter content sorting & infinite memory • Image generation v2 • A brand-new interface with ✨ flow built in We’re most proud of how fast and intuitive it feels—because powerful AI should still feel personal, not overwhelming. Thanks for building with us.

@steve_liu11 Love the way it turns random saves into structured ideas.

Steve Liu

@masump Yesss that’s the magic! Turning chaos into clarity is ALTAR’s favorite party trick. Can’t wait to see what kind of brilliance your “random saves” evolve into 😎💡

Supa Liu

ALTAR 2.0 looks like a huge leap forward! The refreshed UI, upgraded image generation, and powerful multi-agent workflows sound like a killer combo. Love the focus on deep web search and seamless organization—perfect for anyone serious about creating with AI. Excited to explore everything this update has to offer!

Steve Liu

@supa_l Thank you so much! 🙌 We’ve poured a lot into this update — especially to make ALTAR feel like a true creative partner, not just a tool. Super excited for you to explore the new UI, image gen, and multi-agent workflows. Can’t wait to hear what you create with it! 💡✨

Nelson Zhang

Hi again Product Hunt - I'm Nelson, founder at ALTAR :)

Since we originally released our MVP, we’ve been hard at work building out brand new features and upgrades to create the smartest AI workspace for you, and we’re grateful for the chance to show you our progress! 😊

Our focus remains the same - to help you get the absolute most out of today’s frontier AI models and agents, without the overhead involved in providing context and communicating your intentions.

We’re doing that by combining your memory and knowledge in the same place as the most powerful generative tools, so that ALTAR can:

- ✨ Automatically infer context in the moment

- 🎯 More accurately understand your intentions

- 🚀 Reason about and deliver the exact results you need

And whether you’re a product builder, designer, researcher, or engineer, the same truths apply; the work you create and the outcomes you imagine are all dependent on what you’ve previously experienced.

So in this latest build of ALTAR, this home for your inspiration and ideas has been massively upgraded with:

- 🌐 Deep search that navigates the web and reasons along the way

- 🖌️ Image generation V2 engine, that learns the styles of content you save

- 🧠 Agentic workflows, which generate and execute step-by-step plans from your prompt to final result

With these updates, we’re not only helping you collect your memories and knowledge in one place - but going another step further to augment your creativity and productivity.

I’m immensely proud of our team’s hard work 💪 and look forward to your feedback on the latest iteration of our vision! All suggestions and criticism are welcome - for example, we’ve also just finished up 3rd-party logins based on previous comments, with more to come ;)

What features are you most excited to try — or what would you love to see next? Drop a comment and let’s build the future together 🧠💭

Thanks again and hope you enjoy ALTAR 2.0 😊

Hi all!

I'm the PM on the Altar team, I’ve seen first-hand how our agentic workspace supercharges my productivity. Built on my own knowledge base, Altar’s AI agentic workflow surfaces up docs when I need them and streamlines everything from competitor research to writing PRDs, so I spend less time chasing info and more time making strategic decisions.

If you’re aiming to work at a 10× pace, Altar is the edge you’re looking for.

Sebastian Scheibe

Hey Product Hunt!

I’m one of the engineers behind Altar, and I’m really excited to share what our team has been working on for this latest release. We’ve packed in a bunch of updates that we hope will make a big difference for you:

  • Workflows: Now you can tackle more complex questions and get real-time answers, thanks to powerful workflow automation.

  • Image Generation 2.0: Editing images is simpler than ever—just use a prompt and see instant results.

  • Redesigned Interface: We’ve overhauled the UI to make Altar even easier and more enjoyable to use.

I’d love to hear how you’re using Altar or any feedback you might have—feature requests, suggestions, or questions are all welcome!

Thanks for checking us out!

@ecostack Really like the UI upgrade - feels more organic and clean, especially like the new color scheme.

Would also be useful if there would be a mobile version of the app, so I can 10x my productivity while I'm on the go, is that something that you guys are looking to add in the future?

Sofiia Kunakh

The idea behind ALTAR could be a game changer. How well does it scale for larger teams or advanced use?

Steve Liu

@sofiia_kunakh Thank you! 🙌 We're super excited about the potential too.

Right now, ALTAR is optimized for individual creators and thinkers, but the underlying architecture is built to scale — including persistent memory, agent orchestration, and collaborative knowledge spaces.

Support for larger teams, shared agents, and collaborative workflows is definitely on the roadmap. We’re designing it to evolve from personal to collective intelligence — without the chaos.

Would love to hear what kind of advanced or team use cases you have in mind! 💡

Nicole Astor

It looks like this is a knowledge base suitable for designers, which is really great. I need to save a lot of images, as well as some articles, and ALTAR seems like a good choice. Very nice.

Christopher Nheu

@nicoleastor Hey Nicole! Yeah it's a knowledge base that's built around visual workflows. So you can save lots of images, group them into Spaces. They're searchable via natural language because all of our images have been captioned by our vision models. Then when you want to generate with them you just attach them and edit them using the latest GPT 4o image editing model's capabilities.

Sam @CRANQ

ALTAR 2.0 sounds seriously leveled up - Love how it turns content into something actually usable!!

Multi-agent workflows w/ memory plus structure?

That’s the kind of AI experience people have been waiting for.

Christopher Nheu

@cranqnow Hey Sam! Thanks for dropping the comment! Really appreciate it. We find it frustrating that when you're using other agentic programs, you can't dive deep into their process and extract the insights or outputs from those sub-steps. E.g. when our deep search is running, the images it discovered along the way are actually saved in the workflow, users can dive in and save those as well as the final outputs.

Sam @CRANQ

@chris_nheu Hmmm I gotcha, love the angle you've taken on this Christopher :) Will follow the project!

Halyna Prykhodniuk

congrats on the launch!

@halyna_plagiarismcheck_org thank you so much! Appreciate the support

👋 Hey Product Hunt~

As one of the engineers behind Altar, it’s been incredible to see this idea evolve into something that actually helps people think better, not just faster. Behind the scenes, a lot of care went into making the multi-agent system and the fresh new UI.

What excites me most about this release is how everything comes together into a single workspace that adapts to you over time. It's not just a tool, it's more like infrastructure for ideas.

Really grateful for all the feedback that shaped 2.0. Keep it coming.

Yong Woo Shin
Launching soon!

Sounds like a second brain that works only for me!

Honestly, it's sometimes better than the first one 💀

Congratulations :)

Christopher Nheu

@pritraveler Hey Woo Shin! Thanks for the love! I find it super helpful, when the "first brain" is simply out of memory haha. I store all of my different links and files from different projects (life and work included). And it gives me the piece of mind knowing everything is in a single place and easy to find later!

Scott Sturgis

I've found that Altar is my preferred tool for collecting, organizing, and interacting with data. Instead of using notebooks or having too many browser tabs open, I can gather the information I need, take notes, jot down ideas, and organize everything. I can later query the data to find answers or generate new ideas based on the collected information.

Steve Liu

@bigbreakmusic Love hearing this Scott! You’ve captured the heart of what we’re building! 🙌

We wanted ALTAR to feel like the opposite of “too many tabs and scattered notes” — a space where your ideas, research, and creativity actually talk to each other.

Scott Sturgis

@steve_liu11 You nailed it! The minimalist interface is great; it doesn't get in the way. I can't wait to start using additional querying on the data I collected for my new project.

Evgenii Zaitsev

The balance between powerful AI and an intuitive, personal experience is crucial, and it sounds like you’ve nailed that. How customizable are the agent workflows? Can users tailor them for different types of projects or content?

Steve Liu

@evgenii_zaitsev1 Thank you — that balance is exactly what we’ve been obsessing over!

The agent workflows in ALTAR are designed to be flexible from the start. Right now, you can trigger agents for tasks like summarizing, rewriting, searching, or generating based on the content you save — and we’re expanding that rapidly.

Eugenio Altieri

As a Designer at ALTAR, but also a daily user as part of my design process, I find the platform very useful for my workflow. The fact that I can collect Items to interact with in a specific Space helps me to achieve particular results and intuition.

As a creative, I'm always looking for inspiration, and often I find myself collecting images or links for potential future projects. With the ALTAR extension, this process feels almost natural, and the items are collected directly into my selected space, ready to interact with the AI agent, which feels good, and updates my creative process.

Hey Product Hunt,

I’m one of the engineers on the Altar team, and I also use Altar daily in my own workflow as a machine learning engineer. Whether it's logging ideas, saving key moments, or organizing scattered notes, it's been incredibly helpful knowing that everything is stored and can be retrieved later—especially when I need to remember something quickly or dig up past insights.

What’s really exciting is how flexible Altar is. If you're a designer or researcher, it makes it super easy to capture ideas on the fly and build structured knowledge over time. The latest updates also open up new ways to interact with your memory—from smarter workflows to improved creative tools.

Would love to hear how you might use it—or if anything’s missing that would make it even better.

Appreciate you checking it out!

Hao Sun

Hi! This product is designed for creators who want a stable, long-term workspace to explore, organize, and expand their ideas. Whether you're searching for design inspiration or building a personal inventory of styles and concepts, this tool helps you stay creatively fueled.

You can do some really cool things with it—like finding a specific aesthetic and applying it to your own product, or even generating detailed blueprints of robots straight out of a sci-fi novel. If you’ve got imagination, this workspace gives you everything you need to refine and evolve your ideas continuously.

Manu Goel
Launching soon!

Does it also automatically correlate ideas and hence enrich?

Christopher Nheu

@manu_goel2 Hey Manu, Chris here from the Product team. Absolutely, since all your notes, links and files are embedded, whenever you generate content in the Space, it draws from all this knowledge. Similarly suggested actions are based on the items that you've added to the space. So we see AI as a way to enrich your knowledge base, but using your base itself as the starting point of your ideation process.
