Hey Product Hunt!
I built Alchemist Editor out of frustration.
As a solo maker, I was tired of recording product demos with Loom… only to realize I couldn’t zoom, trim, or tweak anything without switching to heavy desktop editors.
So I made a tool that keeps everything in the browser: record, edit, polish, and export. Perfect for quick demo videos that actually look good.
As a matter of fact, the first video is recorded using the web app. It might not be perfect, but it does the job, and it can be a lot better with your support. It is absolutely free to use.
Would love your feedback and ideas, I’m building this in public.

This is awesome! The simplicity of having everything in the browser - from recording to editing - is exactly what’s needed for fast product demos and tutorials. The fact that there are no subscriptions, logins, or watermarks is a major win.
Hey, checked out the product and used it. It was a lifesaver especially because it came in the nick of time. However I noticed some things wrong with it: 1) It didn't record audio. 2)when trying to export, no button to download or export video.

@kings_oduah Thanks for the feedback. I will soon update the app to fix the bugs.
@ashutosh_mitra1Ok, looking forward to that.
🎥 Disrupting Loom? Bold move! Key technical differentiators likely include:
- Lightweight browser-based recording 🌐⏺️
- AI-powered auto-editing (silence trimming/zoom detection) ✂️🤖
- Real-time collaboration features 👥💬
Make-or-break: Maintaining performance without local processing.
