Product Manager focusing on Social Apps
... Product Hunt I ve actually been on this platform for a while but realized I hadn t properly introduced myself yet. Earlier this year, I took the leap of leaving my previous job to team up with a friend and build a new product in the professional networking space. It s been a mix of exciting breakthroughs and the occasional doubt especially since competing in social feels like venturing into a playground dominated by tech giants. But recently, after refining ... ... product yet

Launched on HackerNews: What Happened and What I Learned
... team is not using it. Eventually I just made it myself. Goals for the launch The goal of your Hacker News launch was to test whether there is genuine interest in LangFast. Not to sell, not to monetize yet, but to validate: Do people resonate with the problem ( prompt testing is clunky )? Will they click, try, and spend time in the product? Does the product idea have potential outside my own company (Yola.com) use case? It was market validation experiment ... ... question during that visit, not an email three days later. Conclusions The pain is real and exists in a broader market. The launch proved I can get attention. The product does not create enough stickiness yet

Building AI Products that Work, -1 to 0
... zero when there s already a team, an idea, maybe even a prototype. But at South Park Commons (SPC), the philosophy is different: people gather in the -1 to 0 stage. That liminal space where you don t yet know what you re building or even if you should build at all. It s a place for exploration, experimentation, and being brutally honest about what s working and what s not. A hallmark of SPC is how often industry leaders ... ... this and why it's relevant to a lot of the launches I am seeing at the moment on PH. Commodities don t make companies: The AI landscape is crowded with lookalike products. Prompt wrappers, note-takers, and yet

🔄 The Post-Trial Drop: How do you handle the downgrade gracefully? ✨
... Product Hunt community! Quick question that's been on my mind: When your free trial ends, which companies have handled the transition gracefully? We've all been there - trial expires, not quite ready to pay yet. Some companies make you feel punished, others make it feel natural. Some great examples: Notion preserving your work while limiting features Canva letting you keep designs but limiting new creation Clear data export options before downgrade What makes me cringe: Immediate feature lockouts with ... ... zero warning Guilt-trip email sequences I'm curious: Which companies nailed your post-trial experience? Hailey Quach - I Revolted Against “Vibe Coding” — Until I Realized I’d Been Doing It All Along
... coding. When I learned it was Andrej Karpathy yes, the AI guru and former director of AI at Tesla I did a double take. Karpathy is known for deep technical expertise and meticulous work, not throwing buzzwords around lightly. Yet there he was on X (formerly Twitter) describing a new kind of coding where you fully give in to the vibes and forget the code even exists ( businessinsider.com ). He gleefully wrote: It s not really coding I just see stuff ... ... valuable as writing code itself. At the time (late 2022), I chuckled at that idea. I treated tools like ChatGPT or Copilot as handy assistants, sure, but I still considered real coding to be me typing out logic. Yet

Coding with an AI IDE (visual) vs AI CLI (Terminal), what's better?
... feel that it's able to do a lot more, faster without needing me to jump in. When I do jump in, it's simply to provide it guidence and direction. I haven't done much with it yet, but I can see myslef now doing a combination of CLI and IDE development. I'm curious what everyone elses experience is! Or if you haven't used a CLI or IDE AI tool, why? A bit of additional background ... ... like overtime we'll see an IDE the same way the latest crop of coders views vim or emacs, so I'm very in favor of moving away from an IDE despite using one myself!
