How Wispr Flow found PMF through a pivot
... actually send. We called this Project Flow. We were essentially building this as the operating system for the hardware device. But that didn t fix bigger issues with the hardware there was no consumer market for it. Around this time, I saw the Humane AI Pin launch and crash. I saw rabbit s pocket companion launch and crash. I saw other hardware devices launch and crash. Back then, consumer voice workflows hadn t crossed the chasm. Our hardware product would ... ... over the next few weeks, we kept coming back to the same conclusion: As much as we loved what we d built, the best move for the company was to let it go. Work ethic: Do you think a 4-day work week will bring efficiency?
... want to ask if any of you in your company have tried this concept of a shorter work week, and how it has affected the results of your employees and the company? In my country (Slovakia), most of the time we have 5 days a week (8 working hours), and home office is a privilege. I personally see it as a very expensive way of functioning at work, especially when unpaid travel is a waste of time

5 Things I’d Do Again for a Strong Product Hunt Launch
... What specifically worked for Product Hunt? Here are the 5 biggest things I will repeat as we plan a future open beta launch. I hope it helps you too! Start Launch Planning Early Start months before launch. I spent time connecting with other founders and regularly contributing to discussions here on Product Hunt. It s not like LinkedIn - there are specific rules about what you can and can t post - but that s part of the fun of learning ... ... LinkedIn/email/their web contact form - build relationships before launch day. It was A LOT of looking up their info online, but since then, I am having some great discussions with them and their teams = well worth the desk research time

Hailey Quach - I Revolted Against “Vibe Coding” — Until I Realized I’d Been Doing It All Along
... Karpathy, it was so ez I had my hand held through the entire process. Very cool. He literally talked the app into existence by chatting with an AI, and got a running app on his phone in the time it takes me to configure Xcode provisioning profiles. If that doesn t make a programmer question their life choices, I don t know what will. Karpathy s enthusiasm made me reflect. This was the same person who famously quipped that ... ... hottest new programming language is English ( businessinsider.com ) shortly after ChatGPT s release. In other words, writing good prompts in plain language might be as valuable as writing code itself. At the time

From Failure to Product Hunt #1: The Two-Year Journey Behind HuHu AI Agent
... market was already crowded with similar-looking products. Product differentiation was thin. Our PLG strategy stalled. We couldn t even get featured on Product Hunt. And it forced us to admit: great tech real demand . We pivoted again this time toward enterprise clients. We collected more use cases, better training data, and eventually signed with a major fast fashion platform in Asia (only to get outmaneuvered by the local partner who cut us out post-sale). Luckily, through alumni connections ... ... dramatic acceleration in go-to-market speed. But with power came complexity onboarding was difficult, and user education costly. Meanwhile, we watched new Agent-style tools like @Lovart @manus @Genspark lighter, faster, and simpler. We realized it was time

... Sometimes I wish I had a clear answer to this question, but... I don't :D A lot of people ask me in DMs what to do and when the best time to start. Sometimes the power and usefulness of the product outweighs distribution. However ... ... janice_coutinho   Wishing good luck! A more personal topic: Having (or not having) a family while building a business?
... their work because kids demand constant attention. This mindset tends to be more common among people in their 20s/early 30s. I ve also noticed that those who were extremely focused on their business often didn t have much time for their families, or didn t get around to starting one at all. I know this is a personal topic, but I m curious: Where do you place family and work in your life? What s your take ... ... very contextual and I am extremely lucky to have a supportive partner who appreciates some of the compromises such an invested lifestyle requires.
