Is your SaaS already out there? Are you sure?

Give us your idea in plain English, and in 4 minutes we'll surface: Direct competitors (obvious ones) Indirect threats (the not-so-obvious ones) Failed startups in your space (learn from their mistakes) The ACTUAL keywords your customers use (spoiler: it's not what you think) The kicker

Got kicked out of YC, then got reinstated, and now doing it a second time, AMA! 🧡
... Okibi is actually my second YC company, back in 2021 I got into YC the browser I built called SigmaOS. As the title of this post already says, the first time I got into YC I got kicked out after couple weeks, and had to become a permanent resident of Paraguay to get reinstated Even with the craziness of getting kicked

We Got into YC, Got Kicked Out, and Fought Our Way Back
... founder of SigmaOS and now Okibi an agent that builds agents for you, launching today. We're currently going through YC for the second time, but the first time around wasn t exactly smooth. In fact, we got kicked out and then fought our way back in. Here's the full story. Browsers Weren t Built for Work In 2021, we started building SigmaOS because modern work had outgrown the browser. You had Slack, Notion, Figma, Google Docs ... ... surreal Codecademy was how I learned to code. Two days later, it all fell apart. I woke up to messages from Saurav about passports and residencies. I didn t get it. Then I checked my email. YC had to kick

Do you launch on other platforms too? For example, Kickstarter or IndieGogo
... Possible platforms where you can launch have been discussed here several times. Of course, it brings benefits for SEO (backlinks), visibility (more content, awareness),... But how do you view crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and IndieGoGo ? What is your strategy for going to such a platform, and how does the preparation for them differ from ProductHunt? I would be happy if you share your experiences or launched projects on these platforms. Personally, I have always seen them as a means ... ... call) :D Have you ever met with a scenario where makers boosted their own launch with money so it looked like they had already been donated? Key takeaways from our 2025 Product of the Month launch | Cursor for Slides
... Last month we kicked things off with a high-level recap of our Product of the Month launch - and you had so many questions that we went back to document every tactic in full. Today, here s the in-depth playbook : the exact strategies, experiments, and community-powered tests that took Chronicle to #1 on Product Hunt and over 1,000 upvotes within 24 hours. 1. Excited to join Product Hunt — building for smart homes 🔌✨
... hardware and smart home simplicity. I know hardware isn't at the top of Product Hunt's minds, but I'd still love to join the community! Last year, we brought our first product, InvisOutlet Pro , to life through Kickstarter (raised $160K+) and shipped to over 800 backers. That journey taught me a lot about building in public, obsessing over design, and shipping quality hardware. Now we re launching on Product Hunt later this month (July 29) , fully available ... ... invisible things that quietly make your space smarter I think you'll like what we re building. Happy to be here and excited to support your launches too! We'll also be launching our second product, InvisOutlet Aura , on Kickstarter

Hardware on product hunt...is it possible to succeed?
... everyone! I'm a new maker (Co-Founder) of Intecular , a smart home tech company gearing up for our first Product Hunt launch on July 29. We've previously launched on Kickstarter , though I've had some mixed feedback about launching on Product Hunt. I'd love your input on a few areas that I could use some clarity: Product Hunt seems to be somewhat on/off about hardware. For featured products, it seems like hardware is somewhat rare. Any thoughts ... ... succeed using this platform? We waited to consider launching on Product Hunt until the product was fully available, after fulfilling all prior Kickstarter

Anyone did their public launch straight on Product Hunt? - How's it vs launching on PH a bit later.
... Public launch directly on Product Hunt vs going on Product Hunt a bit later. I am looking to compare and learn from experiences of others. PH launch is a must - so question is only about the timing. To me, launching directly on PH looks good as it's a very good community and the feedbacks can really help sharpen your product roadmap. I haven't yet launched on PH but planning to launch directly as a public launch. Looking ... ... Real users, authentic feedback, and momentum right out of the gate. The key is to treat it like a full launch not a teaser. If your product is ready for real-world use, PH can be the spark that kicks

💥 Why Does Starting a Business Feel Like Running Into a Brick Wall?

What do you think the future looks like for developers when it comes to AI?
... ICYMI: @levelsio shipped a flight simulator game last week. It's pretty fun, it's got some low poly / minecraft-esque graphics, pretty good physics, a turbo boost, and even PvP. The kicker is he built it, at least the version one anyway entirely by prompting @Cursor . It got me thinking about a question that a ton of people have tried to answer in the past few years; What does the future look like for someone getting into development ... ... gabe): Personally feel that the way people break into development will change and the expectations of developers will change. People will now be able to learn alongside AI tools and discover a new passion for dev work this way vs

New to PH: Where do you start with acting on an idea?
... procrastination won this round. Right now, I m thinking about dipping my toes back into building another startup venture, and I m curious when you have a new idea, where do you start executing? This time around, I m considering a different approach. Would ... ... time between building and launching as much as possible learned this the hard way. What are you all building?
... Happy Monday from Product Hunt! Kicking off this week strong, what are you all building or working on refining? What kind of blockers are you running into? Comment from Rabii Luena(@rbluena): Building Kalenda AI. A chrome extension to sync between your google calendar and google task. Ability to attach tasks to a google event. Also users can be able to see tasks from other users in real time. Comment from Puja from Draftly.so(@puja_duseja): Building a community ... ... able to connect that data to understand pain points. From $0 to $5k after a year Indie Hacking. The biggest takeaways.
... best tools in the market, and because our users love the product so much, word of mouth has started to take off. Focusing on product primarily instead of marketing meant that it would take much longer for growth to kick in. We've tried dozens of things, from shitposting on Twitter ... ... month but less than 10% of them upgrade. So we'll be focusing more on customer success too. We're going to get much more aggressive with our marketing. We'll be: going toe to toe with our competitors
