Coding with an AI IDE (visual) vs AI CLI (Terminal), what's better?
... really want to see the diff view as I have developed a healthy distrust of LLMs. So you can do both as Claude Code has a lot of plugins for IDEs: Claude Code for Jetbrains Claude Code for VScode See Anthropic docs on how to add Claude Code to your IDE for more Comment from Punn Kam(@punn_kam): When we're wrangling our complex backend code, Cursor is the top choice. For net new features that interact with ... ... like overtime we'll see an IDE the same way the latest crop of coders views vim or emacs, so I'm very in favor of moving away from an IDE despite using one myself! Cursor or Claude Code?
... around an IDE. Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts! Comment from Matthew Ferrin(@matthew_ferrin): @hi_caicai  I think you re right, and there are some workarounds. Claude Code now opens a temporary tab in VS Code with a clean diff in the UI, which helps. One drawback is that it collapses terminal output, so you have to keep toggling it open and back. Eventually it would be nice if it wrote that output to temporary files ... ... would be for Claude Comment from Tijs Teulings(@_tijs): Claude code has been available in the default Claude plan for a while now. Limited tokens per day but enough to get shit done. It integrates quite well with both vscode

[Update] MCP Atlassian Server v2.0.0 - Comprehensive Solution for Jira & Confluence 🚀✨
... more tab switching! The entire server now uses the latest endpoint versions (Jira API v3, Confluence API v2) ensuring good compatibility and long-term support from Atlassian. Try it today! The project is still pending review on the Cline Marketplace , but you can try it now: text clone https://github.com/phuc-nt/mcp-a... , then follow the instructions in llms-install.md This is still a personal project built in my free time, so there's definitely room for improvement. I'd love your feedback ...

Open Source: MCP Atlassian Server – Connect AI with Jira & Confluence 🤖✨
... switching-opening tabs, hunting for info, filling forms it really broke my flow. To fix this, I built  MCP Atlassian Server (by phuc-nt) . It s an open-source Model Context Protocol server that lets AI assistants (like Cline) talk directly to Jira & Confluence. Now you can: Now you can: Query Jira deeply: search issues by JQL, browse boards, backlogs, sprints, epics, and roadmaps Manage Jira issues end-to-end: create, update, assign, transition statuses, and log work ... ... view spaces, pages, attachments, and version history Author Confluence pages: create or edit content, add inline comments, and embed media Speak in any natural language Stay in chat-no more tab switching. The project is pending review on the Cline

What AI tools do you use for coding? I am building a list. 📝
... fairly certain I have missed quite a bit. I divided them into "traditional" and "specialised". Traditional AI models: DeepSeek Gemini ChatGPT Meta AI Microsoft Copilot Perplexity Typethink Venice AI Specialised: Augment Code Bolt New Claude Code Cline Bot Codebuff Code Dev CodeGeeX Codeium Cursor Databutton GitHub Copilot Le Chat Lovable Macaly PearAI Pieces Polymet Replit Shipper Trae UI2Code V0 Webstorm Do you know about additional AI tools that help with coding? Or any new upcoming? (The question for those people ... ... maxxie_bennet  Did you develop any functioning app thanks to that? Comment from Ethun Hunt(@ethunhunt994): Well, I'm personally busy with traditional AI modules. I haven't tried any specialized version yet. Comment from Richard Hudson(@hudsor01): cline
