How do you separate staging vs production in your early builds?
... building SmartDial for outbound sales teams and shipping fast. Right now using Firebase, and it s getting tricky balancing speed with stability. Curious how do you manage staging vs prod environments when you re still validating and iterating weekly? Do you set both up properly from day one, or fake it until things stabilize? Comment from Brandon Rubinshtein(@brandonshtein): @rolambuilds , I can only speak from my own experience. Our product flow always has the customer in mind. First, we speak ...

How (not) to gather first users when you are an unknown brand. May be helpful to new product makers
... perfect yet, but we can get there with your support" makes it much more likely to support new products as I am onboard of a journey, not a V1. Comment from Luke (@luke_arwayda): @isibol01   @alan_rivera  Would unclear pricing also deter you from signing up to a product's waitlist or only in cases where the product has already launched? Comment from Luke (@luke_arwayda): @konrad_sx   Comparison could possibly backfire if people ... ... place at a time we save our videos to repurpose on other platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube Shorts). I also think building a founder's personal LinkedIn as a touchpoint for users is a great supplementary strategy :) Comment from Alan

Do you think software will lose its value as a product to build?
... great for demos, but they still require significant improvements before they can support production-level applications that real users will rely on. Building the necessary datasets for such tools to function effectively will take time. I also agree with @alan_rivera creating a high-quality app without coding skills is still extremely expensive. Even though AI coding tools can integrate AI features, they are not very useful if the creator doesn t know how to implement them properly ... ... just about having a product it s about creating an experience people love. Good UX and a strong brand will set products apart in a world where anyone can build software. Comment from Hussein(@hussein_r): @alan

AMA - how to craft a launch strategy that will break Product Hunt
... ayyangar): @noureldin_elshenawy   Q: Building a better duolingo...how do you launch without being too salesy? F: Duolingo needs to be better. Talk about what people are struggling with. Show the gaps. Comment from Rajiv Ayyangar(@rajiv_ayyangar): @alanchristophx   3. AI memory for teams: Filip: Instead of talking about it, try showing it. E.g. what if Tanka set up a fictional public slack for the Manhattan project? Show, don't tell. Comment from Rajiv Ayyangar(@rajiv_ayyangar): @alanchristophx

What new features would you like to see in ProductHunt in 2025?
... Tracker of products 3-6-12 months post-launch Feed of launch stories sharing successes, failures and tips like a substack community/feed Pre-launch AI scoring + domain-specific expert advisory Generative launch creatives for social media distribution "This vs. That" Showdowns head-to-head product debate & polls Dedicated boards for more content diversity : hardware, non-AI tools, pre-orders, alpha user invitations etc. Launch-in-public real-time analytics (visitor heatmaps, referrals, engagement - inspired by hunted.space) Different display views ... ... posts. I was trying to find forums related to marketing, but having to go through everything manually is quite inconvenient. Comment from Kelly An(@kellyann3644): #2, #3, #6, #8, #11 and #12 are all good ones!! Comment from Alan

Bolt vs. Lovable?
... your points. Lovable shines in design and UX, while Bolt offers more flexibility on the technical side. But one ongoing challenge with both is balancing speed with full control over the final code. If someone is looking for an alternative that provides more control over the codebase without sacrificing speed, it s also worth checking out co.dev . It natively supports Next.js + Prisma , generating code you can actually reuse instead of being fully locked into the tool s ecosystem. Curious ...
